    (2) Obedience to the Constitution and law is the inviolable obligation of every citizen wherever he may be and of every other person for the time being within Pakistan. (Art. 5)

    (٢) دستور اور قانون کی اطاعت ہر شہری خواہ وہ کہیں بھی ہو اور ہر اس شخص کی جو فی الوقت پاکستان میں ہو واجب التعمیل ذمہ داری ہے۔ (آرٹیکل ۵)

    (1) Any law, or any custom or usage having the force of law, in so far as it is inconsistent with the rights conferred by this Chapter,13 shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, be void.
    (2) The State shall not make any law which takes away or abridges the rights so conferred and any law made in contravention of this clause shall, to the extent of such contravention, be void.

    (ا)کوئی قانون، یا رسم یا رواج جو قانون کا حکم رکھتا ہو، تناقض کی اس حد تک کالعدم ہو گا جس حد تک وہ اس باب میں عطا کردہ حقوق کا نقیض ہو۔
    (٢) مملکت کوئی ایسا قانون وضع نہیں کرے گی جوبایں طورعطا کردہ حقوق کو سلب یا کم کرے اور ہر وہ قانون جو اس شق کی خلاف ورزی میں وضع کیا جائے اس خلاف ورزی کی حد تک کالعدم ہو گا۔

    The provisions of this Chapter14 shall have effect notwithstanding anything contained in the Constitution. (Art. 203A)

    دستور میں شامل کسی امر کے باوجود اس باب کے احکام مؤثر ہوں گے۔ (آرٹیکل ۲۰۳ الف)
