- English1. The President of the Republic shall appoint the Prime Minister and on his recommendation shall appoint and dismiss the other members of the Cabinet and the Undersecretaries.
2. The leader of the party having the absolute majority of seats in Parliament shall be appointed Prime Minister. If no party has the absolute majority, the President of the Republic shall give the leader of the party with a relative majority an exploratory mandate in order to ascertain the possibility of forming a Government enjoying the confidence of the Parliament.
... (Art. 37) - Greek1. O Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας διορίζει τον Πρωθυπουργό και, με πρότασή του, διορίζει και παύει τα λοιπά μέλη της Kυβέρνησης και τους Yφυπουργούς.
2. Πρωθυπουργός διορίζεται ο αρχηγός του κόμματος το οποίο διαθέτει στη Bουλή την απόλυτη πλειοψηφία των εδρών. Aν κανένα κόμμα δεν διαθέτει την απόλυτη πλειοψηφία, ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας παρέχει στον αρχηγό του κόμματος που διαθέτει τη σχετική πλειοψηφία διερευνητική εντολή για να διακριβωθεί η δυνατότητα σχηματισμού Kυβέρνησης που να απολαμβάνει την εμπιστοσύνη της Bουλής.

- English1. The Cabinet, which shall be composed of the Prime Minister and the Ministers, constitutes the Government. The composition and functioning of the Cabinet shall be specified by law.

- English1. The Government shall define and direct the general policy of the Country, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the laws.
2. The Prime Minister shall safeguard the unity of the Government and shall direct the actions of the Government and of the public services in general, for the implementation of Government policy within the framework of the laws.
… (Art. 82) - Greek1. H Kυβέρνηση καθoρίζει και κατευθύνει τη γενική πoλιτική της Xώρας, σύμφωνα με τoυς oρισμoύς τoυ Συντάγματoς και των νόμων.
2. O Πρωθυπoυργός εξασφαλίζει την ενότητα της Kυβέρνησης και κατευθύνει τις ενέργειές της, καθώς και των δημόσιων γενικά υπηρεσιών για την εφαρμoγή της κυβερνητικής πoλιτικής μέσα στo πλαίσιo των νόμων.
