- EnglishA presidential candidate must be an Egyptian born to Egyptian parents, and neither he or his parents or his spouse may have held any other nationality. He must enjoy civil and political rights, must have performed the military service or have been exempted therefrom by law, and shall not be less than forty calendar years of age on the day of commencing candidacy registration. Other requirements for candidacy shall be set out by Law. (Art. 141)
- Arabicيشترط فيمن يترشح رئيسًا للجمهورية أن يكون مصريًا من أبوين مصريين، وألا يكون قد حمل، أو أي من والديه أو زوجه جنسية دولة أخرى، وأن يكون متمتعًا بحقوقه المدنية والسياسية، وأن يكون قد أدى الخدمة العسكرية أو أعفي منها قانونا، وألا تقل سنه يوم فتح باب الترشح عن أربعين سنة ميلادية، ويحدّد القانون شروط التّرشح الأخرى. - EnglishThe rule of the State is hereditary in the family of Al Thani and in the line of the male descendants of Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Hamad Bin Abdullah Bin Jassim. The rule shall be inherited by the son named as Heir Apparent by the Emir.
In the case that there is no such son, the prerogatives of rule shall pass to the member of the family named by the Emir as Heir Apparent. In this case, his male descendants shall inherit the rule. The provisions of the rule of the State and accession shall be determined by a special law that shall be issued within a year commencing as from the date of coming into force of this Constitution. This law shall have the power of the Constitution. (Art. 8) - Arabicحكم الدولة وراثيّ في عائلة آل ثاني، و في ذرّية حمد بن خليفة بن حمد بن عبد الله بن جاسم من الذّكور ، و تكون وراثة الحكم إلى الابن الذي يسمّيه الأمير وليّا للعهد.
فإن لم يوجد ابن ينتقل الحكم إلى من يسمّيه الأمير من العائلة وليا للعهد، و في هذه الحالة تكون وراثة الحكم في ذريته من الذكور. و ينظّم سائر الأحكام الخاصة بحكم الدولة ووراثته قانون خاصّ يصدر خلال سنة من تاريخ العمل بهذا الدستور. و تكون له صفة دستورية. ( المادّة 8)

- EnglishA nominee to the Presidency of the Republic must be:
First: An Iraqi by birth, born to Iraqi parents.
Second: Fully qualified and must be over forty years of age.
Third: Of good reputation and political experience, known for his integrity, uprightness, fairness, and loyalty to the homeland.
Fourth: Free of any conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude. (Art. 68) - Arabicيشترط في المرشح لرئاسة الجمهورية ان يكون:
اولاً :ـ عراقياً بالولادة ومن ابوين عراقيين.
ثانياً :ـ كامل الاهلية واتم الاربعين سنةً من عمره.
ثالثاً :ـ ذا سمعةٍ حسنةٍ وخبرةٍ سياسيةٍ ومشهوداً له بالنـزاهة والاستقامة والعدالة والاخلاص للوطن.
رابعاً :ـ غير محكومٍ بجريمةٍ مخلةٍ بالشرف. (المادة 68)

The President of the Republic is elected by secret ballot, by a two-thirds majority of the votes cast in the Chamber of Deputies in the first round. The President's term in office is six years. He may only be reelected after a period of six years has lapsed since the end of his previous term. Nobody is eligible for the Presidency of the Republic if he does not meet the conditions for election to the Chamber of Deputies or is barred by them from being a candidate.

ينتخب رئيس الجمهورية بالاقتراع السري بغالبية الثلثين من مجلس النواب في الدورة الأولى، ويكتفي بالغالبية المطلقة في دورات الاقتراع التي تلي. وتدوم رئاسته ست سنوات ولا تجوز إعادة انتخابه إلا بعد ست سنوات لانتهاء ولايته ولا يجوز انتخاب أحد لرئاسة الجمهورية ما لم يكن حائزاً على الشروط التي تؤهله للنيابة وغير المانعة لأهلية الترشيح.
