The right to education and to teaching [enseignement] are guaranteed. The State sees to improve [its] quality permanently.
Public education is gratuitous within the conditions established by the law.
Primary and secondary [moyen] education are obligatory. The State organizes the national system of education.
The State sees to the neutrality of the educational institutions and to the preservation of their educational and scientific vocation in order to protect them from any political or ideological influence.
School constitutes the basis of education for citizenship.

الحقّ في التربية والّتعليم مضمونان، وتسهر الدولة باستمرار على تحسين جودتهما.
التّعليم العمومي مجّاني وفق الشّروط الّتي يحدّدها القانون.
التّعليم الابتدائي والمتوسط إجباريّ، وتنظم الدولة المنظومة التعليمية الوطنية.
تسهر الدولة على ضمان حياد المؤسسات التربوية وعلى الحفاظ على طابعها البيداغوجي والعلمي، قصد حمايتها من أي تأثير سياسي أو إيديولوجي.
تُعد المدرسة القاعدة الأساسية للتربية على المواطنة.

Le droit à l’éducation et à l'enseignement sont garantis. L’Etat veille en permanence à en améliorer la qualité.
L'enseignement public est gratuit dans les conditions fixées par la loi.
L'enseignement primaire et moyen est obligatoire. L’Etat organise le système national d'enseignement.
L’Etat veille à la neutralité des institutions éducatives et à la préservation de leur vocation pédagogique et scientifique en vue de les protéger de toute influence politique ou idéologique.
L’école constitue la base de l’éducation à la citoyenneté.
L'Etat veille à l'égal accès à l'enseignement et à la formation professionnelle. (Art. 65)

Education [L 'einseignement] is obligatory until the age of sixteen.
The State guarantees the right to gratuitous public education at all levels. It sees to provide the necessary resources at the service of an education, teaching and training of quality.
The State also sees to the rooting of the younger generations in their Arab and Islamic identity and their national belonging. It sees to the consolidation of the Arabic language, its promotion and its generalization. It encourages openness to foreign languages and civilizations. It sees to the dissemination of the culture of human rights. (Art. 44) - Arabic
التّعليم إلزاميّ إلى سنّ السّادسة عشرة.
تضمن الدّولة الحقّ في التّعليم العموميّ المجاني ّبكامل مراحله، وتسعى إلى توفير الإمكانيّات الضّروريّة لتحقيق جودة التّربية والتّعليم والتّكوين. كما تعمل على تأصيل النّاشئة في هويّتها العربيّة الإسلاميّة وانتمائها الوطنيّ وعلى ترسيخ اللّغة العربيّة ودعمها وتعميم استخدامــها والانفتاح على اللّغات الأجنبيّة والحضارات الإنسانيّة ونشر ثقافة حقوق الإنسان. L’enseignement est obligatoire jusqu’à l’âge de seize ans.
L’État garantit le droit à l’enseignement public gratuit à tous ses niveaux. Il veille à fournir les ressources nécessaires au service d’une éducation, d’un enseignement et d’une formation de qualité.
L’État veille également à l’enracinement des jeunes générations dans leur identité arabe et islamique et leur appartenance nationale. Il veille à la consolidation de la langue arabe, sa promotion et sa généralisation. Il encourage l’ouverture sur les langues étrangères et les civilisations. Employment Rights and Protection
- EnglishWork is a right, duty and honor guaranteed by the State. No citizen may be forced to work except as required by Law and for the purpose of performing a public service for a fixed period in return for a fair consideration, and without prejudice to the basic rights of those obliged to carry out such work. (Art. 12)
- Arabicالعمل حقّ، وواجب وشرف تكفله الدّولة. ولا يجوز إلزام أى مواطن بالعمل جبراً إلا بمقتضى قانون ولأداء خدمة عامة، لمدة محدّدة، وبمقابل عادل، ودون إخلال بالحقوق الأساسيّة للمكلّفين بالعمل. (المادّة 12)
Employment Rights and Protection
- English1. Work shall be a right and a duty for every citizen, and the state shall endeavor to provide for all citizens, and the law shall organize work, its conditions and the workers’ rights;
2. Each worker shall have a fair wage according to the quality and output of the work; this wage shall be no less than the minimum wage that ensures the requirements of living and changes in living conditions;
