Employment Rights and Protection
- EnglishPeople who work have a right to social security. The State, through the social security system, guarantees adequate protection when a person finds themselves unable to work due to age, maternity, paternity, disability, or illness.
Likewise, in accordance with the law, the State protects grandparents or other relatives of minors in their care and attention.
In the case of a worker's death or retirement, the State grants similar protection to his or her family, in accordance with that which is established in the law. El Estado, mediante el sistema de seguridad social, le garantiza la protección adecuada cuando se encuentre impedida de laborar por su edad, maternidad, paternidad, invalidez o enfermedad.
Asimismo, de conformidad con la ley, el Estado protege a los abuelos u otros familiares del menor de edad, en función del cuidado y atención a este.
