- EnglishWorking hours shall not exceed eight hours per day or 44 hours per week. Where permitted by law, night work shall not exceed seven hours per day or 35 hours per week. No employer shall have the right to require employees to work overtime. An effort shall be made to reduce working hours progressively in the interest of society and in such sphere as may be determined, and appropriate provisions shall be adopted to make better use of free time for the benefit of the physical, spiritual and cultural development of workers.
Workers are entitled to weekly time off and paid vacations on the same terms as for days actually worked. (Art. 90) - SpanishLa jornada de trabajo diurna no excederá de ocho horas diarias ni de cuarenta y cuatro horas semanales. En los casos en que la ley lo permita, la jornada de trabajo nocturna no excederá de siete horas diarias ni de treinta y cinco semanales.
