- EnglishTo monitor respect for human rights in Afghanistan as well as to foster and protect it, the state shall establish the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan. Every individual shall complain to this Commission about the violation of personal human rights. The Commission shall refer human rights violations of individuals to legal authorities and assist them in defense of their rights. Organization and method of operation of the Commission shall be regulated by law. (Art. 58)

- EnglishThe Ombudsman shall be a commissioner of the Croatian Parliament responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution, laws and international legal instruments on human rights and freedoms ratified by the Republic of Croatia.
Everyone may lodge a complaint to the Ombudsman if he/she deems that his/her constitutional or legal rights have been threatened or violated as a result of any illegal or irregular act by state bodies, local and regional self-government bodies and bodies vested with public authority.
The Croatian Parliament shall elect the Ombudsman for a term of eight years. The Ombudsman shall be autonomous and independent in his/her work.
Conditions for the election and dismissal of the Ombudsman and his/her deputies, his/her remit, and the method of his/her work shall be regulated by law. By law, the Ombudsman may also be vested with certain powers with regard to legal and natural persons in order to protect fundamental constitutional rights.
The Ombudsman and other commissioners of the Croatian Parliament responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms shall enjoy the same immunity as Members of the Croatian Parliament. (Art. 93) - CroatianPučki je pravobranitelj opunomoćenik Hrvatskoga sabora za promicanje i zaštitu ljudskih prava i sloboda utvrđenih Ustavom, zakonima i međunarodnim pravnim aktima o ljudskim pravima i slobodama koje je prihvatila Republika Hrvatska.
Svatko može podnijeti pritužbu pučkom pravobranitelju ako smatra da su, uslijed nezakonitog ili nepravilnog rada državnih tijela, tijela lokalne i područne (regionalne) samouprave i tijela s javnim ovlastima, ugrožena ili povrijeđena njegova ustavna ili zakonska prava.
Pučkog pravobranitelja bira Hrvatski sabor na vrijeme od osam godina. Pučki pravobranitelj samostalan je i neovisan u svom radu.
Uvjeti za izbor i razrješenje pučkog pravobranitelja i njegovih zamjenika, djelokrug i način rada uređuju se zakonom. Zakonom se, radi zaštite temeljnih ustavnih prava, pučkom pravobranitelju mogu povjeriti i određene ovlasti u odnosu na pravne i fizičke osobe.
Pučki pravobranitelj i ostali opunomoćenici Hrvatskoga sabora za promicanje i zaštitu ljudskih prava i temeljnih sloboda imaju imunitet kao i zastupnici u Hrvatskom saboru. (Članak 93)

- English(1) Parliament may, by law, provide for the establishment of the office of Ombudsman.
(2) The Ombudsman shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as Parliament may, by law, determine, including the power to investigate any action taken by a Ministry, a public officer or a statutory public authority.
(3) The Ombudsman shall prepare an annual report concerning the discharge of his functions, and such report shall be laid before Parliament. (Art. 77) - Bengali(১) সংসদ আইনের দ্বারা ন্যায়পালের পদ-প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য বিধান করিতে পারিবেন।
(২) সংসদ আইনের দ্বারা ন্যায়পালকে কোন মন্ত্রণালয়, সরকারী কর্মচারী বা সংবিধিবদ্ধ সরকারী কর্তৃপক্ষের যে কোন কার্য সম্পর্কে তদন্ত পরিচালনার ক্ষমতাসহ যেরূপ ক্ষমতা কিংবা যেরূপ দায়িত্ব প্রদান করিবেন, ন্যায়পাল সেইরূপ ক্ষমতা প্রয়োগ ও দায়িত্ব পালন করিবেন।
(৩) ন্যায়পাল তাঁহার দায়িত্বপালন সম্পর্কে বাৎসরিক রিপোর্ট প্রণয়ন করিবেন এবং অনুরূপ রিপোর্ট সংসদে উপস্থাপিত হইবে। (অনুচ্ছেদ ৭৭)

- English(1) The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission has the following functions—
(a) to promote awareness of and respect for human rights and freedoms at all levels of society;
(b) to promote the protection, development and attainment of human rights and freedoms;
(c) to monitor, assess and ensure observance of human rights and freedoms;
(d) to receive and consider complaints from the public and to take such action in regard to the complaints as it considers appropriate;
(e) to protect the public against abuse of power and maladministration by State and public institutions and by officers of those institutions;
(f) to investigate the conduct of any authority or person, where it is alleged that any of the human rights and freedoms set out in the Declaration of Rights has been violated by that authority or person;
(g) to secure appropriate redress, including recommending the prosecution of offenders, where human rights or freedoms have been violated;
(h) to direct the Commissioner-General of Police to investigate cases of suspected criminal violations of human rights or freedoms and to report to the Commission on the results of any such investigation;
(i) to recommend to Parliament effective measures to promote human rights and freedoms;
(j) to conduct research into issues relating to human rights and freedoms and social justice; and
(k) to visit and inspect—
(i) prisons, places of detention, refugee camps and related facilities; and
(ii) places where mentally disordered or intellectually handicapped persons are detained;
in order to ascertain the conditions under which persons are kept there, and to make recommendations regarding those conditions to the Minister responsible for administering the law relating to those places.
(2) The Commissioner-General of Police must comply with any directive given to him or her by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission under subsection (1)(h). (Sec. 243)
