The State guarantees the inviolability of the human person.
Any form of physical and moral violence or infringement of dignity is proscribed.
Torture, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatments as well as trafficking in persons are punished [réprimés] by the law. (Art. 39) - Arabic

- EnglishElderly persons, girls, children and adolescents, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, persons in prison and those who suffer from disastrous or highly complex diseases shall receive priority and specialized care in the public and private sectors. The same priority care shall be received by persons in situations of risk, victims of domestic and sexual violence, child mistreatment, natural or manmade disasters. The State shall provide special protection to persons who are doubly vulnerable. (Art. 35)
- SpanishLas personas adultas mayores, niñas, niños y adolescentes, mujeres embarazadas, personas con discapacidad, personas privadas de libertad y quienes adolezcan de enfermedades catastróficas o de alta complejidad, recibirán atención prioritaria y especializada en los ámbitos público y privado.
