- EnglishEvery person has the right peacefully to assemble and associate and to form or belong to, or not to belong to, political parties, industrial organizations or other associations, except to the extent that the exercise of that right is regulated or restricted by a law-
(a) that makes reasonable provision in respect of the registration of all or any associations; or
(b) that imposes restrictions on non-citizens; or

They shall enjoy equal civil and political rights, shall have the same opportunities, and be subject to the same public duties and obligations, without discrimination due to religion, sect, language, wealth, sex, kinship, political opinions, social status, and tribal, provincial or familial affiliation.
The isolation of some persons and banning them from sovereign offices and leadership posts in the State's higher departments for a temporary period of time pursuant to a law issued to such effect, and which does not prejudice the right of the persons concerned to appeal, shall not be deemed a violation of the provisions of this declaration. ولا يعد إخلالا بما ورد في أحكام هذا الإعلان عزل بعض الأشخاص ومنعهم من تولي المناصب السيادية والوظائف القيادية في الإدارات العليا للدولة لفترة زمنية مؤقتة وبمقتضى قانون يصدر في هذا الشأن وبما لا يخل بحق المعنيين في التقاضي. (المادّة 6)
