The President of the Republic is elected for five (5) years by direct universal suffrage. He is re-eligible.
The election of the President of the Republic takes place by uninominal majority [majoritaire uninominal/first-past-the-post] ballot in one (1) round.
The election is won by the candidate who obtained the greatest number of votes cast. (Art. 9)7 - French
Le Président de la République est élu pour cinq (5) ans, au suffrage universel direct. Il est rééligible.
