- English(1) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the House of Assembly shall consist of not more than seventy-six members composed as follows –
(a) not more than sixty members elected from tinkhundla areas serving as constituencies;
(b) not more than ten members nominated by the King acting in his discretion after consultation with such bodies as the King may deem appropriate;
(c) four female members specially elected from the four Regions subject to subsection (3);
(d) the Attorney-General who shall be an ex officio member.
(2) The nominated members of the House shall be appointed by the King −
(a) so that at least half of them are female; and
(b) so as to represent interests, including marginalized groups, not already adequately represented in the House.
(3) The members elected on a regional basis, under subsection (1)(c), shall continue to be so elected, whenever the provisions of section 86 (1) are true, in terms of the following paragraphs −
(a) at the instance of the Chairman of the Elections and Boundaries Commission, the elected members from each Region shall on their first meeting nominate not less than three and not more than five women from each Region qualified to be members of Parliament;
(b) the list of nominated candidates shall be published in at least two local newspapers and the electronic media on at least three consecutive days; and
(c) after ten days from the date of last publication the House shall meet to vote for one woman from each of the Regions, taking into consideration any relevant in-put in terms of paragraph (b). (Sec. 95)12

Following the full restoration of Georgia’s jurisdiction throughout the entire territory of Georgia, two chambers shall be established within Parliament: the Council of the Republic and the Senate. The Council of the Republic shall be composed of members elected by a proportional system. The Senate shall be composed of members elected from the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and other territorial units of Georgia, and five members appointed by the President of Georgia. The composition, powers, and procedures for the election of chambers shall be determined by the organic law.
2. Before the condition provided for by paragraph 1 of this article is created, Parliament shall be composed of 150 Members of Parliament elected in a single multi-mandate electoral district for a term of 4 years by a proportional system on the basis of universal, free, equal and direct suffrage, by secret ballot.

4. Any citizen of Georgia having the electoral right, who has attained the age of 25 and who has lived in Georgia for at least 10 years, may be elected as a Member of Parliament. A person who has been sentenced to imprisonment by a court judgment shall not be elected as a Member of Parliament.
5. A political party that is registered in accordance with the procedures established by law shall have the right to participate in the parliamentary elections if it has a Member of Parliament who has been elected through the party’s nomination by the date when the elections are scheduled, or if it is supported by the signatures of at least 25 000 voters, in accordance with the procedures established by the organic law.
… (Art. 37) - Georgian1. საქართველოს მთელ ტერიტორიაზე საქართველოს იურისდიქციის სრულად აღდგენის შემდეგ პარლამენტის შემადგენლობაში იქნება ორი პალატა: რესპუბლიკის საბჭო და სენატი. რესპუბლიკის საბჭო შედგება პროპორციული წესით არჩეული წევრებისაგან. სენატი შედგება აფხაზეთის ავტონომიურ რესპუბლიკაში, აჭარის ავტონომიურ რესპუბლიკასა და საქართველოს სხვა ტერიტორიულ ერთეულებში არჩეული წევრებისა და საქართველოს პრეზიდენტის მიერ დანიშნული 5 წევრისაგან. პალატების შემადგენლობას, უფლებამოსილებასა და არჩევის წესს განსაზღვრავს ორგანული კანონი.
2. ამ მუხლის პირველი პუნქტით გათვალისწინებული პირობის შექმნამდე პარლამენტი შედგება საყოველთაო, თავისუფალი, თანასწორი და პირდაპირი საარჩევნო უფლების საფუძველზე ფარული კენჭისყრით 4 წლის ვადით ერთიან მრავალმანდატიან საარჩევნო ოლქში პროპორციული სისტემით არჩეული 150 პარლამენტის წევრისაგან.

4. პარლამენტის წევრად შეიძლება აირჩეს საარჩევნო უფლების მქონე საქართველოს მოქალაქე 25 წლის ასაკიდან, რომელსაც საქართველოში უცხოვრია 10 წელს მაინც. პარლამენტის წევრად არ შეიძლება აირჩეს პირი, რომელსაც სასამართლოს განაჩენით შეფარდებული აქვს თავისუფლების აღკვეთა.
5. პარლამენტის არჩევნებში მონაწილეობის უფლება აქვს კანონით დადგენილი წესით რეგისტრირებულ პოლიტიკურ პარტიას, რომელსაც ჰყავს მისი წარდგენით არჩეული პარლამენტის წევრი არჩევნების დანიშვნის დროისათვის ან რომლის მხარდაჭერა ორგანული კანონით დადგენილი წესით დადასტურებულია არანაკლებ 25000 ამომრჩევლის ხელმოწერით.
