(a) five shall be appointed by the President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister; and
(b) four shall be appointed by the President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Leader of the Opposition:
Provided that, if it is so prescribed by Parliament the Senators shall, instead of being appointed under the foregoing provisions of this section, be elected, in accordance with such provision as may be made by Parliament in that behalf.

- English(1) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the House of Assembly shall consist of not more than seventy-six members composed as follows –
(a) not more than sixty members elected from tinkhundla areas serving as constituencies;
(b) not more than ten members nominated by the King acting in his discretion after consultation with such bodies as the King may deem appropriate;
(c) four female members specially elected from the four Regions subject to subsection (3);
(d) the Attorney-General who shall be an ex officio member.
(2) The nominated members of the House shall be appointed by the King −
(a) so that at least half of them are female; and
(b) so as to represent interests, including marginalized groups, not already adequately represented in the House.
(3) The members elected on a regional basis, under subsection (1)(c), shall continue to be so elected, whenever the provisions of section 86 (1) are true, in terms of the following paragraphs −
(a) at the instance of the Chairman of the Elections and Boundaries Commission, the elected members from each Region shall on their first meeting nominate not less than three and not more than five women from each Region qualified to be members of Parliament;
(b) the list of nominated candidates shall be published in at least two local newspapers and the electronic media on at least three consecutive days; and
(c) after ten days from the date of last publication the House shall meet to vote for one woman from each of the Regions, taking into consideration any relevant in-put in terms of paragraph (b). (Sec. 95)12

- EnglishSubject to the provisions of section 31 of this Constitution, a person shall be qualified to be elected as a member of the House of Representatives if, and shall not be so qualified unless, he-
(a) is a Commonwealth citizen who has attained the age of eighteen years;
(b) has resided in Grenada for a period of twelve months immediately before the date of his nomination for election or is domiciled and resident in Grenada at that date; and
(c) is able to speak and, unless incapacitated by blindness or other physical cause, to read the English language with sufficient proficiency to enable him to take an active part in the proceedings of the House. (Sec. 30)

(c) the constituency for all seats reserved for non-Muslims shall be the whole country;
(d) members to the seats reserved for women which are allocated to a Province under clause (3) shall be elected in accordance with law through proportional representation system of political parties’ lists of candidates on the basis of total number of general seats secured by each political party from the Province concerned in the National Assembly:
Provided that for the purpose of this paragraph the total number of general seats won by a political party shall include the independent returned candidate or candidates who may duly join such political party within three days of the publication in the official Gazette of the names of the returned candidates; and
(e) members to the seats reserved for non-Muslims shall be elected in accordance with law through proportional representation system of political parties’ lists of candidates on the basis of total number of general seats won by each political party in the National Assembly:
Provided that for the purpose of this paragraph the total number of general seats won by a political party shall include the independent returned candidate or candidates who may duly join such political party within three days of the publication in the official Gazette of the names of the returned candidates. (الف) عام نشستوں کے لئے انتخابی حلقے ایک رکنی علاقائی حلقے ہوں گے اور مذکورہ نشستوں کو پر کرنے کے لئے ارکان بلاواسطہ اور آزادانہ ووٹ کے ذریعے قانون کے مطابق منتخب کئے جائیں گے؛
(ب) ہر ایک صوبہ خواتین کے لئے مخصوص تمام نشستوں کے لئے جو متعلقہ صوبوں کے لئے شق (٣) کے تحت متعین کی گئی ہیں واحد حلقۂ انتخاب ہو گا؛
(ج) غیر مسلموں کے لئے مخصوص تمام نشستوں کے لئے حلقۂ انتخاب پورا ملک ہو گا؛
(د) خواتین کی مخصوص نشستوں کے لئے جو کسی صوبے کے لئے شق (٣) کے تحت مختص کی گئی ہیں ارکان قانون کے مطابق سیاسی جماعتوں کی امیدواران کی فہرست سے متناسب نمائندگی کے نظام کے ذریعے قومی اسمبلی میں متعلقہ صوبہ سے ہر ایک سیاسی جماعت کی طرف سے حاصل کردہ عام نشستوں کی کل تعداد کی بنیاد پر منتخب کی جائیں گی:
مگر شرط یہ ہے کہ اس پیرا کی غرض کے لئے کسی سیاسی جماعت کی طرف سے حاصل شدہ عام نشستوں کی کل تعداد میں وہ کامیاب آزاد امیدوار یا امیدواروں شامل ہوں گے جو سرکاری جریدے میں کامیاب امیدواروں کے ناموں کی اشاعت سےتین یوم کے اندر باضابطہ طور پر مذکورہ سیاسی جماعت میں شامل ہو جائیں۔
(ہ) غیر مسلموں کی مخصوص نشستوں کے لئے ارکان قانون کے مطابق سیاسی جماعتوں کے امیدواروں کی فہرست سے متناسب نمائندگی کے نظام کے ذریعے قومی اسمبلی میں ہر ایک سیاسی جماعت کی طرف سے حاصل کردہ عام نشستوں کی کل تعداد کی بنیاد پر منتخب کئے جائیں گے:
