The abandonment and maltreatment of children, notably pedophilia, sexual abuse as well as the accusation of witchcraft, are prohibited and punishable by law.
The parents have the duty to take care of their children and to assure them of their protection against any act of violence both inside and outside their home.
The public powers have the obligation to assure protection to children in a difficult situation and to bring, to justice, the authors and their accomplices of acts of violence concerning children.

L’abandon et la maltraitance des enfants, notamment la pédophilie, les abus sexuels ainsi que l’accusation de sorcellerie sont prohibés et punis par la loi.
Les parents ont le devoir de prendre soin de leurs enfants et d’assurer leur protection contre tout acte de violence tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur du foyer.
Les pouvoirs publics ont l’obligation d’assurer une protection aux enfants en situation difficile et de déférer, devant la justice, les auteurs et les complices des actes de violence à l’égard des enfants.
