Nationals are:
1. Those born in the national territory. The children of foreigners in diplomatic service, those of foreign functionaries in the service of international organizations or those sent by their government to fulfill work in Nicaragua, are excepted[,] unless they opt for Nicaraguan nationality.
2. The children of a Nicaraguan father or mother.
3. Those born abroad of a father or mother who originally were Nicaraguan, if and when they solicit it[,] once reaching majority of age or emancipation.
4. The infants of unknown parents found in Nicaraguan territory, without prejudice to, [should] their filiation become known, effects that proceed.
5. The children of foreign parents born on board Nicaraguan aircraft or vessel, if they solicit it. (Art. 16) - Spanish
Son nacionales:
1) Los nacidos en el territorio nacional. Se exceptúan los hijos de extranjeros en servicio diplomático, los de funcionarios extranjeros al servicio de organizaciones internacionales o los de enviados por sus gobiernos a desempeñar trabajos en Nicaragua, a menos que optaren por la nacionalidad nicaragüense.
2) Los hijos de padre o madre nicaragüense.
3) Los nacidos en el extranjero de padre o madre que originalmente fueron nicaragüenses, siempre y cuando lo solicitaren después de alcanzar la mayoría de edad o emancipación.
4) Los infantes de padres desconocidos encontrados en territorio nicaragüense, sin perjuicio de que, conocida su filiación, surtan los efectos que proceden.
5) Los hijos de padres extranjeros nacidos a bordo de aeronaves y embarcaciones nicaragüenses, siempre que ellos lo solicitaren. (Art. 16)

- EnglishThe nationals by birth of the republics that constituted the Federation of Central America, if they acquire domicile in Guatemala and manifest before the competent authority their wish to become Guatemalans, will also be considered Guatemalans of origin. In such case they can retain their nationality of origin, without prejudice to what is established in [the] Central American treaties or agreements. (Art. 145)
- SpanishTambién se consideran guatemaltecos de origen, a los nacionales por nacimiento, de las repúblicas que constituyeron la Federación de Centroamérica, si adquieren domicilio en Guatemala y manifestaren ante autoridad competente, su deseo de ser guatemaltecos. En este caso podrán conservar su nacionalidad de origen, sin perjuicio de lo que se establezca en tratados o convenios centroamericanos. (Art. 145)

A person born in The Bahamas after 9th July 1973 neither of whose parents is a citizen of The Bahamas shall be entitled, upon making application on his attaining the age of eighteen years or within twelve months thereafter in such manner as may be prescribed, to be registered as a citizen of The Bahamas:
Provided that if he is a citizen of some country other than The Bahamas he shall not be entitled to be registered as a citizen of The Bahamas under this Article unless he renounces his citizenship of that other country, takes the oath of allegiance and makes and registers such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed.
2. Any application for registration under this Article shall be subject to such exceptions or qualifications as may be prescribed in the interests of national security or public policy. (Art. 7)

- EnglishThe following persons are Ecuadorians by naturalization:
1. Those who obtain the naturalization card.
2. Under-age foreigners adopted by a female or male Ecuadorian, who shall keep their Ecuadorian nationality as long as they do not express their wish to the contrary.
3. Those born abroad of a mother or father who is Ecuadorian by naturalization, while they are minors, shall keep their Ecuadorian nationality, as long as they do not express their wish to the contrary.
4. Those who marry, or have a common-law marriage with, an Ecuadorian female or male, in accordance with the law.
5. Those who obtain Ecuadorian nationality for having provided important services to the country on the basis of their talent or individual effort.
Those who acquire the Ecuadorian nationality shall not be obligated to forfeit their nationality of origin.
Ecuadorian nationality acquired by naturalization shall be forfeited by express renunciation. (Art. 8) - SpanishCon ecuatorianas y ecuatorianos por naturalización las siguientes personas:
1. Las que obtengan la carta de naturalización.
2. Las extranjeras menores de edad adoptadas por una ecuatoriana o ecuatoriano, que conservarán la nacionalidad ecuatoriana mientras no expresen voluntad contraria.
3. Las nacidas en el exterior de madre o padre ecuatorianos por naturalización, mientras aquéllas sean menores de edad; conservarán la nacionalidad ecuatoriana si no expresan voluntad contraria.
4. Las que contraigan matrimonio o mantengan unión de hecho con una ecuatoriana o un ecuatoriano, de acuerdo con la ley.
5. Las que obtengan la nacionalidad ecuatoriana por haber prestado servicios relevantes al país con su talento o esfuerzo Individual.
Quienes adquieran la nacionalidad ecuatoriana no estarán obligados a renunciar a su nacionalidad de origen.
La nacionalidad ecuatoriana adquirida por naturalización se perderá por renuncia expresa. (Art. 8)

- EnglishNationality is not lost even by naturalization in another country, it being sufficient for the purpose of retaining the rights of citizenship merely to take up residence in the Republic and register in the Civil Register.
Legal citizenship is lost by any other form of subsequent naturalization. (Art. 81) - SpanishLa nacionalidad no se pierde ni aun por naturalizarse en otro país, bastando simplemente, para recuperar el ejercicio de los derechos de ciudadanía, avecinarse en la República e inscribirse en el Registro Cívico.
La ciudadanía legal se pierde por cualquier otra forma de naturalización ulterior. (Art. 81)

- EnglishAny person who is married to a citizen of Grenada or who has been married to a person who was, during the subsistence of the marriage, a citizen of Grenada shall be entitled, upon making application in such manner as may be prescribed by or under a law enacted by Parliament, and if he is a British protected person or an alien taking the oath of allegiance, to be registered as a citizen of Grenada. - EnglishAny person who became a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago by virtue of registration under the former Constitution or by virtue of an acquisition of citizenship under Part II of the Trinidad and Tobago Citizenship Act, and who has not ceased to be a citizen under any law in force in Trinidad and Tobago, shall continue to be a citizen under this Constitution. - EnglishAre Venezuelans by birth:
1. Any person who was born within the territory of the Republic.
2. Any person who was born in a foreign territory, and is the child of a father and mother who are both Venezuelans by birth.
3. Any person who was born in a foreign territory, and is the child of a father or a mother, who is Venezuelan by birth, provided they have established residence within the territory of the Republic or declared their intention to obtain the Venezuelan nationality.
4. Any person who was born in a foreign territory, and is the child of a father or a mother who is Venezuelan by naturalization, provided that prior to reaching the age of 18, they establish their residence within the territory of the Republic, and before reaching the age of 25 declare their intention to obtain the Venezuelan nationality. 1. Toda persona nacida en territorio de la República.
2. Toda persona nacida en territorio extranjero, hijo o hija de padre venezolano por nacimiento y madre venezolana por nacimiento.

Toda persona nacida en territorio extranjero de padre venezolano por naturalización o madre venezolana por naturalización, siempre que antes de cumplir dieciocho años de edad, establezca su residencia en el territorio de la República y antes de cumplir veinticinco años de edad declare su voluntad de acogerse a la nacionalidad venezolana.
