- English1. São Toméan citizens shall be all those born within the national territory, the children of a São Toméan father or mother and those who may be considered as such by the Law.

- English1. A foreign person who has been married to a Mozambican citizen for at least five years acquires Mozambican nationality, except in cases of statelessness, provided that all of the following conditions are met:
a. that he or she declares that he or she wishes to acquire Mozambican nationality;
b. that he or she meets the requirements and offers the guarantees prescribed by law.
2. The nationality acquired by the spouse shall not be prejudiced by the declaration of annulment or dissolution of the marriage. (Art. 26) - Portuguese1. - English1. Mozambican nationality may be granted to Mozambicans who, having lost such nationality now request it, provided that they meet all of the following conditions:
a. that they establish their domicile in Mozambique;
b. that they meet the requirements and offer the guarantees prescribed by law.
2. A Mozambican woman who has lost her nationality through marriage may reacquire it by addressing a request to the competent authorities.
3. Reacquisition of nationality shall restore the legal situation prevailing prior to the loss of nationality. (Art. 32) - Portuguese1. Pode ser concedida a nacionalidade moçambicana àqueles que, depois de a terem perdido, a requeiram e reunam cumulativamente as seguintes condições:

The Union, the states, the Federal District and the municipalities shall cooperate in the organization of their educational systems.
Paragraph 1. The Union shall organize the federal educational system and that of the Territories, shall finance the federal public educational institutions and shall have, in educational matters, a redistributive and supplementary function, so as to guarantee the equalization of the educational opportunities and a minimum standard of quality of education, through technical and financial assistance to the states, the Federal District and the municipalities.
Paragraph 2. The municipalities shall act on a priority basis in elementary education and in the education of children.
Paragraph 3. The states and the Federal District shall act on a priority basis in elementary and secondary education.
Paragraph 4. The Union, the States, the Federal District, and the Municipalities shall define collaboration methods for the organization of their educational systems, to ensure the universalization, quality, and equity of the compulsory education.
