- EnglishThe stable and monogamous union between two persons without any other marriage ties who have a common-law home, for the lapse of time and under the conditions and circumstances provided for by law, shall enjoy the same rights and obligations of those families bound by formal marriage ties.
Adoption shall only be permitted for different-gender couples. The right of the man and the woman, that have the quality of being so naturally, to contract matrimony between them, as well as the juridical equality of the spouses, is recognized.
The civil marriage celebrated before a competent functionary and with the conditions required by the Law alone is valid.
The common law union [unión de hecho] between the persons equally capable of contracting matrimony is recognized. The law will specify the conditions for it to provide the effects of marriage.
Matrimony and the common law union between persons of the same sex is prohibited.
Matrimonies or common law unions between persons of the same sex celebrated or recognized under the laws of other countries will have no validity in Honduras.
The provisions of this Article may only be reformed by a majority of threequarters of the members of the Plenum of the National Congress. The legal provisions created after the validity of this Article that establish the contrary will be null and invalid. (Art. 112) - Spanish
Se reconoce el derecho del hombre y de la mujer, que tengan la calidad de tales naturalmente, a contraer matrimonio entre sí, así como la igualdad jurídica de los cónyuges.
Sólo es válido el matrimonio civil celebrado ante funcionario competente y con las condiciones requeridas por la Ley.
Se reconoce la unión de hecho entre las personas igualmente capaces para contraer matrimonio. La Ley señalará las condiciones para que surta los efectos del matrimonio.
Se prohibe el matrimonio y la unión de hecho entre personas del mismo sexo.
Los matrimonios o uniones de hecho entre personas del mismo sexo celebrados o reconocidos bajo las leyes de otros países no tendrán validez en Honduras.
Lo dispuesto en este Artículo sólo podrá reformarse por una mayoría de tres cuartas partes de los miembros del Pleno del Congreso Nacional. Serán nulas e inválidas las disposiciones legales que se creen con posterioridad a la vigencia del presente Artículo que establezcan lo contrario. (Art. 112)

- EnglishInvestigation of paternity shall be regulated by law. Classifications as to the nature of the relationship are abolished. There shall not be entered any statement establishing differences of birth, or, on the civil status of the parents, in the registration records, or in any attestation, baptismal or christening records, or certificate referring to the relationship.
Authority is hereby granted to the father of a child born before the effective date of this Constitution to protect the child by the provisions of this Article, by means of rectifying any record or attestation in which any classification may have been established with respect to said child. The consent of the mother is not required but if the child is of legal age, he/she must give his/her consent thereto. In acts of acknowledgement of paternity, anyone who is legally affected by said act may oppose this measure.

Queda abolida toda calificación sobre la naturaleza de la filiación. No se consignará declaración alguna que establezca diferencia en los nacimientos o sobre el estado civil de los padres en las actas de inscripción de aquellos, ni en ningún atestado, partida de bautismo o certificado referente a la filiación.
Se concede facultad al padre del hijo nacido con anterioridad a la vigencia de esta Constitución para ampararlo con lo dispuesto en este artículo, mediante la rectificación de cualquier acta o atestado en los cuales se halle establecida clasificación alguna con respecto a dicho hijo. No se requiere para esto el consentimiento de la madre. Si el hijo es mayor de edad, éste debe otorgar su consentimiento.
En los actos de simulación de paternidad, podrá objetar esta medida quien se encuentre legalmente afectado por el acto.
La Ley señalará el procedimiento. (Art. 61)

Special plans of reproductive health and maternal-child health [care] for people of scarce resources will be established. - EnglishEvery person has the right to his own name, to the summates of his father and mother, and to know the identity of the latter. The State guarantees the right to investigates maternity and paternity. All persons have the right to be registered free of charge with the Civil Registry Office after birth, and to obtain public documents constituting evidence of their biological identity, in accordance with law. Such documents shall not contain any mention classifying the parental relationship. (Art. 56)

- EnglishMarriage is a social and legal institution. It is one of the organizational structures of families. It is based on free consent and on the equality of rights, obligations, and legal capacity of spouses.
The law determines how they are constituted and their effects.
Furthermore, it recognizes the stable and singular union with legal capacity that effectively forms a common life plan that, under the conditions and circumstances indicated in the law, generates the rights and obligations that the law provides. Se funda en el libre consentimiento y en la igualdad de derechos, obligaciones y capacidad legal de los cónyuges.

- EnglishThe State shall guarantee respect for the reproductive rights of all workers, including the elimination of labor risks affecting reproductive health, access to employment and job security, without limitations due to pregnancy or number of children, maternity and breast-feeding rights, and the right to paternity leave.
The dismissal of a working woman because of pregnancy and maternity, along with discrimination in connection with reproductive roles, is forbidden. (Art. 332) - SpanishEl Estado garantizará el respeto a los derechos reproductivos de las personas trabajadoras, lo que incluye la eliminación de riesgos laborales que afecten la salud reproductiva, el acceso y estabilidad en el empleo sin limitaciones por embarazo o número de hijas e hijos, derechos de maternidad, lactancia, y el derecho a licencia por paternidad.
Se prohíbe el despido de la mujer trabajadora asociado a su condición de gestación y maternidad, así como la discriminación vinculada con los roles reproductivos. (Art. 332)
