- EnglishEvery person is entitled to the security of his economic means of support in the event of work disability or inability to obtain remunerated employment.
Social Security services shall be furnished and administered by the Honduran Social Security Institute and shall cover cases of sickness, maternity, family allowance, old-age, orphanhood, lockout, work injury, involuntary unemployment; occupational disease, and other contingencies affecting the capacity to produce.
The State shall establish social welfare institutions which shall function as a unit in a single state system with the contribution of all interested parties and the state. Los servicios de seguridad social serán prestados y administrados por el Instituto Hondureño de Seguridad Social que cubrirá los casos de enfermedad, maternidad, subsidio de familia, vejez, orfandad, paros forzosos, accidentes de trabajo, desocupación comprobada, enfermedades profesionales y todas las demás contingencias que afecten la capacidad de producir.

- EnglishEvery person has the right to adequate, safe and comfortable, hygienic housing, with appropriate essential basic services, including a habitat such as to humanize family, neighborhood and community relations. The progressive meeting of this requirement is the shared responsibility of citizens and the State in all areas.
The State shall give priority to families, and shall guarantee them, especially those with meager resources, the possibility of access to social policies and credit for the construction, purchase or enlargement of dwellings. 2. Public services given by the State or by individuals, the legal or contractual modalities, must respond to the principles of universality, accessibility, efficiency, transparency, responsibility, continuity, quality, reasonability, and equity of price.
