- EnglishBolivian nationality is acquired by birth or by naturalization. Persons who are born in the territory of Bolivia are Bolivians by birth, with the exception of children of foreign personnel on diplomatic mission; persons born abroad of a Bolivian mother or father are Bolivians by birth. (Art. 141)

- EnglishThe following have the right to legal citizenship:
A. Foreign men and women of good conduct, and having a family within the Republic, who possess some capital or property in the country, or are engaged in some profession, craft, or industry, and have resided habitually in the Republic for three years;
B. Foreign men and women of good conduct, without families in the Republic, who possess any of the qualifications mentioned in the preceding paragraph and who have resided habitually in the country for five years;
C. Foreign men and women who obtain special courtesy from the General Assembly for noteworthy services or outstanding merit.

A) Los hombres y las mujeres extranjeros de buena conducta, con familia constituida en la República, que poseyendo algún capital en giro o propiedad en el país, o profesando alguna ciencia, arte o industria, tengan tres años de residencia habitual en la República.
B) Los hombres y las mujeres extranjeros de buena conducta, sin familia constituida en la República, que tengan alguna de las cualidades del inciso anterior y cinco años de residencia habitual en el país.

- English(1) Spanish nationality shall be acquired, retained and lost in accordance with the provisions of the law.
(2) No person of Spanish birth may be deprived of his or her nationality.
(3) The State may negotiate dual nationality treaties with Latin-American countries or with those which have had or which have special links with Spain. In these countries Spaniards may become naturalized without losing their nationality of origin, even if those countries do not grant a reciprocal right to their own citizens. (Sec. 11) - Spanish1. La nacionalidad española se adquiere, se conserva y se pierde de acuerdo con lo establecido por la ley.
2. Ningún español de origen podrá ser privado de su nacionalidad.
3. El Estado podrá concertar tratados de doble nacionalidad con los países iberoamericanos o con aquellos que hayan tenido o tengan una particular vinculación con España. - EnglishVenezuelans by birth cannot be deprived of their nationality. The Venezuelan nationality by naturalization can be revoked only by a judgment handed down by a court in accordance with law. (Art. 35)
