Nigeria
- English(1) The following persons are citizens of Nigeria by birth namely –
(a) every person born in Nigeria before the date of independence, either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents belongs or belonged to a community indigenous to Nigeria:
Provided that a person shall not become a citizen of Nigeria by virtue of this section if neither of his parents nor any of his grandparents was born in Nigeria;
(b) every person born in Nigeria after the date of independence either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents is a citizen of Nigeria; and
(c) every person born outside Nigeria either of whose parents is a citizen of Nigeria.
(2) In this section, “the date of independence” means the 1st day of October 1960. (Sec. 25)

Seychelles
- English(1) A person who, on or after the coming into force of this Constitution, marries another person who is or becomes a citizen of Seychelles shall, subject to any Act, be eligible to become a citizen of Seychelles by naturalization.
(2) Clause (1) shall apply to a person who is not a citizen of Seychelles or eligible to become a citizen of Seychelles under article 10 and who, on or after Independence Day, and before the coming into force of this Constitution, married another person who was or became, or who becomes, a citizen of Seychelles, as it applies to a person such as is referred to in clause (1). - English1. Angolan nationality may be held by origin or acquired.
2. The child of a father or mother with Angolan nationality, born in Angola or abroad, shall be an Angolan citizen by origin.
3. A newborn child found in Angolan territory shall be presumed an Angolan citizen by origin.
4. No Angolan citizen by origin may be deprived of their original nationality.
5. The requirements for the acquisition, loss or re-acquisition of Angolan nationality shall be established by law. (Art. 9) - Portuguese1. A nacionalidade angolana pode ser originária ou adquirida.
2. É cidadão angolano de origem o filho de pai ou de mãe de nacionalidade angolana, nascido em Angola ou no estrangeiro.

Ethiopia
- English1. No Ethiopian national shall be deprived of his or her Ethiopian nationality against his or her will. Marriage of an Ethiopian national of either sex to a foreign national shall not annul his or her Ethiopian nationality.
2. Every Ethiopian national has the right to the enjoyment of all rights, protection and benefits derived from Ethiopian nationality as prescribed by law.
3. Any national has the right to change his Ethiopian nationality.
4. Ethiopian nationality may be conferred upon foreigners in accordance with law enacted and procedures established consistent with international agreements ratified by Ethiopia. 3. ማንኛውም ዜጋ ኢትዮጵያዊ ዜግነቱን የመለወጥ መብት አለው፡፡
4. ኢትዮጵያ ከአጸደቀቻቸው ዓለም አቀፍ ስምምነቶች ጋር በማይቃረን መንገድ በሚወጣ ሕግ እና በሚደነገግ ሥርዓት መሰረት የኢትዮጵያ ዜግነት ለውጭ ሀገር ሰዎች ሊሰጥ ይችላል፡፡ (አንቀጽ 33)

Liberia
- Englisha. All persons who, on the coming into force of this Constitution were lawfully citizens of Liberia shall continue to be Liberian citizens.
b. In order to preserve, foster and maintain the positive Liberian culture, values and character, only persons who are Negroes or of Negro descent shall qualify by birth or by naturalization to be citizens of Liberia.
c. The Legislature shall, adhering to the above standard, prescribe such other qualification criteria for the procedures by which naturalization may be obtained. (Art. 27)

Mozambique
- English1. The following persons shall, provided that they were born in Mozambique, be Mozambicans:
a. The children of a father or a mother who was born in Mozambique;
b. Children whose parents are stateless or of unknown nationality;
c. Those who were domiciled in Mozambique at the time of independence and did not choose any other nationality, expressly or tacitly.
2. The children of a Mozambican father or mother working for the Mozambican State outside the country shall be Mozambicans, even if born abroad.
3. The children of a Mozambican father or mother shall be Mozambican, even if born abroad, provided that they have expressly declared, either on their own behalf, if over eighteen years of age, or through their legal representatives, if younger, that they wish to be Mozambican. a) os filhos de pai ou mãe que tenham nascido em Moçambique;
b) os filhos de pais apátridas, de nacionalidade desconhecida ou incógnita;

2. São moçambicanos, ainda que nascidos em território estrangeiro, os filhos de pai ou mãe moçambicanos ao serviço do Estado fora do país.

São moçambicanos os filhos de pai ou mãe de nacionalidade moçambicana ainda que nascidos em território estrangeiro, desde que expressamente, sendo maiores de dezoito anos de idade, ou pelos seus representantes legais, se forem menores daquela idade, declararem que pretendem ser moçambicanos.
