- English(1) The following persons are citizens of Nigeria by birth namely –
(a) every person born in Nigeria before the date of independence, either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents belongs or belonged to a community indigenous to Nigeria:
Provided that a person shall not become a citizen of Nigeria by virtue of this section if neither of his parents nor any of his grandparents was born in Nigeria;
(b) every person born in Nigeria after the date of independence either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents is a citizen of Nigeria; and
(c) every person born outside Nigeria either of whose parents is a citizen of Nigeria.
(2) In this section, “the date of independence” means the 1st day of October 1960. (Sec. 25)

- EnglishAny person, other than a person of I-Kiribati descent, who—
a. has attained the age of eighteen years before Independence Day;
b. becomes a citizen of Kiribati by virtue of section 20 or 21 of this Constitution; and
c. is on Independence Day a national of some other country, shall cease to be a citizen of Kiribati at the expiry of a period of two years after Independence Day or such longer period as may be prescribed, unless before the expiry of that period he has renounced or lost his nationality of that other country or, if the law of that other country makes no provision for or does not permit him to renounce his nationality of that other country, made such a declaration as may be prescribed. - English(1) A person who, on or after the coming into force of this Constitution, marries another person who is or becomes a citizen of Seychelles shall, subject to any Act, be eligible to become a citizen of Seychelles by naturalization.
(2) Clause (1) shall apply to a person who is not a citizen of Seychelles or eligible to become a citizen of Seychelles under article 10 and who, on or after Independence Day, and before the coming into force of this Constitution, married another person who was or became, or who becomes, a citizen of Seychelles, as it applies to a person such as is referred to in clause (1). - English(1) Any citizen of or over the age of twenty-one years and of sound mind who is also or is about to become a citizen of another country may renounce his citizenship of the Federation by declaration registered by the Federal Government, and shall thereupon cease to be a citizen.
(2) A declaration made under this Article during any war in which the Federation is engaged shall not be registered except with the approval of the Federal Government.
(3) This Article applies to a woman under the age of twenty-one years who has been married as it applies to a person of or over that age. (Art. 23) - Malay(1) Mana-mana warganegara yang berumur dua puluh satu tahun atau lebih dan yang sempurna akal yang juga ialah seorang warganegara negara lain atau yang hampir menjadi seorang warganegara negara lain boleh melepaskan kewarganegaraannya bagi Persekutuan melalui akuan yang didaftarkan oleh Kerajaan Persekutuan, dan hendaklah sesudah itu terhenti menjadi warganegara.
(2) Akuan yang dibuat di bawah Perkara ini dalam masa apa-apa peperangan yang dalamnya Persekutuan terlibat tidaklah boleh didaftarkan kecuali dengan kelulusan Kerajaan Persekutuan.

(1) Parliament may make provision for the acquisition of Nauruan citizenship by persons who are not otherwise eligible to become Nauruan citizens under the provisions of this Part.
(2) Parliament may make provision for depriving a person of his Nauruan citizenship being a person who has acquired the nationality of another country otherwise than by marriage.
(3) Parliament may make provision for depriving a person of his Nauruan citizenship being a person who is a Nauruan citizen otherwise than by reason of Article 71 or Article 72.
(4) Parliament may make provision for the renunciation by a person of his Nauruan citizenship. (Art. 75)
