- English(a) Everyone has the right to education without discrimination of any kind.
(b) Primary and secondary education shall be freely provided by the State. It is imperative on parents and the State to provide children with primary and secondary education. Opportunity for higher education shall be generally accessible to all citizens.
(c) Education shall strive to inculcate obedience to Islam, instil love for Islam, foster respect for human rights, and promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all people. (Art. 36) - Dhivehi(ހ) އެއްވެސް ބާވަތެއްގެ ތަފާތުކުތުމެއް ނެތި އުނގެނުމުގެ ޙައްޤު ކޮންމެ މީހަކަށް ލިބިގެންވެއެވެ

(ނ) ތަޢުލީމީ ނިޒާމުގެ ތެރެއިން އިސްލާމްދީނަށް ބޯލަނބައި ކިޔަމަންޔަތުމަށް ބާރުއެޅުމަށާއި، އިސްލާމްދީނަށް ލޯބިޖެއްސުމަށާއި، އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކަށް އިޙްތިރާމް ކުރުމަށާއި، ޢާންމުކޮށް އެންމެންގެ މެދުގައި ޞުލްޙަމަސަލަސް ކަމާއި ރަހުމަތްތެރިކަން ބާއްވައިގެން އުޅުމުގެ މުހިންމުކަން އުގަންނައިދީ، މިކަންކަން ކުރިއެރުވުމަށް ބާރުއަޅާންވާނެއެވެ. The access to education [educación] is free and equal for all Nicaraguans. Primary education [enseñanza] is gratuitous and obligatory in the centers of the State. Secondary education [enseianza] is gratuitous in the centers of the State, without prejudice to the voluntary contributions which parents may make. No one may be excluded in any form from a state center for economic reasons. The indigenous peoples and the ethnic communities of the Caribbean Coast have right in their region to intercultural education [educación] in their mother tongue, in accordance with the law.
