- EnglishPeople who work have a right to social security. The State, through the social security system, guarantees adequate protection when a person finds themselves unable to work due to age, maternity, paternity, disability, or illness.
Likewise, in accordance with the law, the State protects grandparents or other relatives of minors in their care and attention.
In the case of a worker's death or retirement, the State grants similar protection to his or her family, in accordance with that which is established in the law. 1. Everyone has the right to freedom of labor, free choice of occupation and profession. Forced labor is allowed only on the basis of a judicial act on the conviction of a criminal or administrative offense or in a state of emergency or martial law.
