- English(1) Every person has the right to full and free participation in the economic life of the State, which includes the right to choose their own work, trade, occupation, profession or other means of livelihood.
(2) The State must take reasonable measures within its available resources to achieve the progressive realisation of the rights recognised in subsection (1).
(3) To the extent that it is necessary, a law may limit, or may authorise the limitation of, the rights set out in subsection (1). a. every citizen, without discrimination on any grounds whatsoever, shall have the opportunity for securing adequate means of livelihood as well as adequate opportunities to secure suitable employment;
b. conditions of service and work are fair, just and humane and that there are adequate facilities for leisure and for social, religious and cultural life;
c. the health, safety and welfare of all persons in employment are safeguarded and not endangered or abused, and in particular that special provisions be made for working women with children, having due regard to the resources of the State;
