It is in obligation on their part to respect the human rights and fundamental freedoms contained in the document, and to work to advance them, and they shall be considered the cornerstone of social justice, equality and democracy in Sudan.

- English(1) The dignity of the person, the inviolable rights which are inherent, the free development of the personality, the respect for the law and for the rights of others are the foundation of political order and social peace.
