- English(a) The Human Rights Commission’s responsibilities and powers shall include the following:
1. to promote respect for human rights;
2. to promote the protection, development and attainment of human rights;
3. to monitor and assess the observance of human rights.
(b)The Human Rights Commission shall have the following functions and powers, as regulated by law:
1. to investigate and to report on the observance of human rights;
2. to take steps to secure appropriate redress where human rights have been violated;
3. to carry out research, and to educate the public;
4. to exercise such additional powers and functions prescribed by law. (Art. 192) - Dhivehi(ހ) ހިއުމަން ރައިޓްސް ކޮމިޝަނުގެ މަސްއޫލިއްޔަތުތަކާއި ބާރުތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައި އަންނަނިވި ކަންކަން ހިމެނެއެވެ.
1. އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކަށް މީހުންގެ ހިތްތަކުގައި އިޙްތިރާމް އަށަގެންނެވުމަށް މަސައްކަތްކުރުން.
2. އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތައް ރައްކާރެއިކުރުމާއި، ކުރިއެރުވުމަށާއި، އެ ޙާއްޤުތައް ހޯދައިދިނުމަށް މަސައްކަތްކުރުން.
3. އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކަށް ޙުރުމަތްތެރިކޮށް ހިތާމިންވަރު ބަލައި ވަޒަންކުރުން.
(ށ) ހިއުމަން ރައިޓްސް ކޮމިޝަނުގެ މަސްއޫލިއްޔަތުތައް އަދާކުރުމަށްޓަކައި، ޤާނޫނެއް ކަނޑައަޅާ ބާރުތަކެއް އެ ކޮމިޝަނަށް ލިބިގެންވެއެވެ. އޭގެ ތެރޭގައި އަންނަނިވި ކަންތައްތައް ހިމެނެއެވެ.
1. އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކަށް ޙުރުމަތްރެއިކޮށް ހިތާމިންވަރު ތަޙުޤީޤުކޮށް އަންގާންޖެހޭ ފަރާތްތަކށް އެންގުން.
2. އިންސާނީ ޙައްގެއް ނިގުޅައިގެންފިނަމަ، ޤާނޫނުގައިވާ ގޮތުގެމަތީން އަޅަންޖެހޭ ފިޔަވަޅުތައް އެޅުން.
3.އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކާ ގުޅޭ އެކިއެކި ދިރާސާތައްކުރުމާއި އެޙައްގުތަކާ ބެހޭ ގޮތުން ޢާންމު ހޭލުންތެރިކަން އިތުރު ކުރުވުން.
4. ހިއުމަން ރައިޓްސް ކޮމިޝަނަށް ޤާނޫނުން ލިބިދޭ އިތުރު ބާރުތަކާއި ހަވާލުކުރެވޭ އިތުރު މަސްއޫލިއްޔަތުތައް. (ޤާނޫނުއަސާސީގެ 192 ވަނަ މާއްދާ)

- EnglishThe office of the Ombudsman in existence immediately before the coming into force of this Constitution shall, until the President appoints the Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice and his Deputies, and provision is otherwise made, continue as if it forms part of the Office of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice. 1. The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan shall contribute to the restoration of violated rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen, promote the rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen.
2. When exercising his/her powers, the Commissioner for Human Rights shall be independent and not accountable to state bodies and officials.
3. During the term of his/her powers, the Commissioner for Human Rights may not be arrested, brought to justice, subjected to administrative penalties imposed in court, brought to criminal responsibility without the consent of the Senate, except for cases of detention at the scene of a crime or serious crimes.
4. The legal status and organization of activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights shall be determined by the constitutional law. (Art. 83-1) - Kazak

- EnglishEveryone shall have the right to receive the support of the Human Rights Defender, in case of violation of his rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution and laws by state and local self-government bodies and officials or, in cases provided by the Law on the Human Rights Defender, by organizations. - English1. The office of the Ombudsman may investigate any and all cases where it is alleged that a person has suffered injustice and it does not appear that there is any remedy reasonably available by way of proceedings in a court or by way of appeal from a court or where there is no other practicable remedy.
2. Notwithstanding subsection (1), the powers of the office of the Ombudsman under this section shall not oust the jurisdiction of the courts and the decisions and exercise of powers by the Ombudsman shall be reviewable by the High Court on the application of any person with sufficient interest in a case the Ombudsman has determined. - English(1) The Human Rights Commission established under the Human Rights Commission Decree 2009 continues in existence as the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission.
(2) The Commission consists of—
(a) a chairperson, who must be a person who is or is qualified to be appointed as a judge; and
(b) 4 other members, appointed by the President on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission.

(4) Subject to this Constitution, the Commission is responsible for—
(a) promoting the protection and observance of, and respect for, human rights in public and private institutions, and to develop a culture of human rights in Fiji;
(b) education about the rights and freedoms recognised in this Chapter, as well as other internationally recognised rights and freedoms;
(c) monitoring, investigating and reporting on the observance of human rights in all spheres of life;
(d) making recommendations to Government concerning matters affecting the rights and freedoms recognised in this Chapter, including recommendations concerning existing or proposed laws;
(e) receiving and investigating complaints about alleged abuses of human rights and take steps to secure appropriate redress if human rights have been violated, including making applications to court for redress or for other forms of relief or remedies;
(f) investigating or researching, on its own initiative or on the basis of a complaint, any matter in respect of human rights, and make recommendations to improve the functioning of public or private entities;
(g) monitoring compliance by the State with obligations under treaties and conventions relating to human rights; and
(h) performing any other functions or exercising any powers as are conferred on the Commission by a written law.
(5) Subject to this Constitution, any person has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission, alleging that a right or freedom in this Chapter has been denied, violated or infringed, or is threatened.

- English1. The Ombudsman shall be an independent organ in charge of examining and seeking to settle citizens’ complaints against public bodies, certifying the conformity of the acts with the law, preventing and initiating the whole process to remedy injustice.
2. Citizens may present complaints concerning acts or omissions on the part of public bodies to the Ombudsman, who shall undertake a review, without power of decision, and shall forward recommendations to the competent organs as deemed necessary.
3. The Ombudsman shall be appointed by the National Parliament through absolute majority votes of its members for a term of office of four years.

O Provedor de Direitos Humanos e Justiça é um órgão independente que tem por função apreciar e procurar satisfazer as queixas dos cidadãos contra os poderes públicos, podendo verificar a conformidade dos actos com a lei, bem como prevenir e iniciar todo o processo para a reparação das injustiças.
2. Os cidadãos podem apresentar queixas por acções ou omissões dos poderes públicos ao Provedor de Direitos Humanos e Justiça, que as apreciará, sem poder decisório, dirigindo aos órgãos competentes as recomendações necessárias.
3. O Provedor de Direitos Humanos e Justiça é eleito pelo Parlamento Nacional, por maioria absoluta dos Deputados, para um mandato de quatro anos.
