The Republic of San Marino receives generally recognised rules of international law as integral part of its constitutional order, to which it shall conform its acts and conduct. It recognises the provisions set forth in the international declarations on human rights and fundamental freedoms.

San Marino constitutional order recognises, guarantees and enforces the rights and fundamental freedoms set forth by the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

La Repubblica di San Marino riconosce, come parte integrante del proprio ordinamento, le norme di diritto internazionale generalmente riconosciute e conforma ad esse i suoi atti e la condotta. The State commits to respecting the Constitution, the Rights of Man and the public freedoms. It sees to making them known and diffuses them among the population.
The State takes the necessary measures to integrate the Constitution, the Rights of Man and the public freedoms in the school and university programs of teaching as well as in the training of the forces of defense and of security, and of the agents of the Administration. (Art. 28) - French
L’Etat s’engage à respecter la Constitution, les droits de l’homme et les libertés publiques. Il veille à les faire connaître et à les diffuser au sein de la population.
