(1) All human beings are free and equal in dignity and rights. Their fundamental rights and freedoms are inalienable, irrevocable, and absolutely perpetual.
(2) Fundamental rights shall be guaranteed in the Slovak Republic to every person regardless of sex, race, colour, language, faith, religion, political affiliation or conviction, national or social origin, nationality or ethnic origin, property, birth or any other status, and no person shall be denied their legal rights, discriminated against or favoured on any of these grounds.

- EnglishThe State has the duty to assure the diffusion and the teaching of the Constitution, of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Man of 1948, of the African Charter of the Rights of Man and of Peoples of 1981 as well as of all international instruments duly ratified relative to Human Rights.
The State must integrate the rights of the human person in the programs of literacy [alphabétisation] and of teaching in the different schooling and university cycles and in all the programs of training of the armed forces, the forces of public security and similar forces.
The State must equally assure in the national languages by all means of mass communication, in particular by radio and television, the diffusion and the teaching of these same rights. (Art. 25) - FrenchL’Etat a le devoir d’assurer la diffusion et l’enseignement de la Constitution, de la Déclaration Universelle des Droits de l’Homme de 1948, de la Charte Africaine des Droits de l’Homme et des Peuples de 1981 ainsi que de tous les instruments internationaux dument ratifiés relatifs aux Droits humains.
L’Etat doit intégrer les droits de la personne humaine dans les programmes d’alphabétisation et d’enseignement aux différents cycles scolaires et universitaires et dans tous les programmes de formation des forces armées, des forces de sécurité publique et assimilés.
L’Etat doit également assurer dans les langues nationales par tous les moyens de communication de masse, en particulier par la radiodiffusion et la télévision, la diffusion et l’enseignement de ces mêmes droits. (Art. 25)

- EnglishThe State shall create the conditions for the integral protection of its inhabitants throughout their lives, conditions that shall ensure the rights and principles enshrined in the Constitution, in particular that of equality in diversity and nondiscrimination and shall give priority to actions for those groups who require special consideration because of the persistence of inequalities, exclusion, discrimination or violence or by virtue of their age, health, or disabilities.
Integral protection shall function by means of specialized systems in accordance with the law. The specialized systems shall be guided by their specific principles and by those of the national system of social inclusion and equity.
… (Art. 341) - SpanishEl Estado generará las condiciones para la protección integral de sus habitantes a lo largo de sus vidas, que aseguren los derechos y principios reconocidos en la Constitución, en particular la igualdad en la diversidad y la no discriminación, y priorizará su acción hacia aquellos grupos que requieran consideración especial por la persistencia de desigualdades, exclusión, discriminación o violencia, o en virtud de su condición etaria, de salud o de discapacidad.
