a. is a citizen of Sierra Leone;
b. is a member of a political party;
c. has attained the age of forty years; and
d. is otherwise qualified to be elected as a Member of Parliament. (Sec. 41)

(1) The Governor-General shall be appointed, and may be removed from office at any time, by the Sovereign, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister given after the Prime Minister has, in confidence, consulted the members of Parliament.

د. أن يكون مستقيم الأخلاق والسلوك محافظاً على الشعائر الإسلامية وأن لا يكون قد صدر ضده حكم قضائي بات في قضية مخلة بالشرف أو الأمانه مالم يكن قد رد إليه اعتباره.
ه. أن لا يكون متزوجاً من أجنبية وألا يتزوج أثناء مدة ولا يته من أجنبية. (المادّة 107)
