1. To be Deputy the following qualifications [calidades] are required:
a. To be a national of Nicaragua. Those who have acquired other nationality must have renounced it at least four years before the election is verified.
b. To be in full enjoyment of one's civil and political rights;
c. To have completed twenty-one years of age;
d. To have resided or worked in continuous form in the country [for] the four years prior to the election, save that during this period [periodo] fulfilling diplomatic missions or working in international organs [organismos] or realizing studies abroad. c) Haber cumplido veintiún años de edad.
d) Haber residido en forma continuada en el país los cuatro años anteriores a la elección, salvo que durante dicho período cumpliere misiones diplomáticas, o trabajare en organismos internacionales o realizare estudios en el extranjero. Además, haber nacido o haber residido durante los últimos dos años en el Departamento o Región Autónoma por el cual se pretende salir electo.
