- EnglishI. The equal participation of men and women shall be guaranteed in the election of the members of the assembly.
II. Proportional participation of the nations and rural native indigenous peoples shall be guaranteed in the election of members of the assembly.
III. The law shall define the special districts of the rural native indigenous peoples, in which population density and geographical continuity shall not be considered as conditional criteria. (a) five shall be appointed by the President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister; and
(b) four shall be appointed by the President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Leader of the Opposition:
Provided that, if it is so prescribed by Parliament the Senators shall, instead of being appointed under the foregoing provisions of this section, be elected, in accordance with such provision as may be made by Parliament in that behalf.

- English(1) The Senate shall consist of thirteen members (in this Constitution referred to as "Senators") who shall be appointed by the Governor-General in accordance with this section.
(2) Of the Senators-
