Suffrage is universal, equal and secret. It can be direct or indirect, within the conditions provided for by the Constitution or by the law. Freedom to establish associations is guaranteed, on national foundations, for legitimate objectives, using peaceful means, in a manner that does not contradict with the provisions and objectives of this statute, and in accordance with the conditions and circumstances prescribed by the law.
It is prohibited to establish associations whose activities are hostile to societal order, that are secret, or that are of a military nature. It is not permitted to force a person to join any association. (Art. 40) - Arabic
حرية تكوين الجمعيات مكفولة، وذلك على أسس وطنية ولأهداف مشروعة وبوسائل سلمية وبما لا يتعارض مع نصوص وأهداف هذا النظام، ووفقا للشروط والأوضاع التي يبينها القانون.
ويحظر إنشاء جمعيات يكون نشاطها معاديا لنظام المجتمع، أو سريا، أو ذا طابع عسكري، ولا يجوز إجبار أحد على الانضمام إلى أي جمعية. (المادّة ٤٠)
