The Constitution shall guarantee, and as such, directly implement human and minority rights guaranteed by the generally accepted rules of international law, ratified international treaties and laws. The law may prescribe manner of exercising these rights only if explicitly stipulated in the Constitution or necessary to exercise a specific right owing to its nature, whereby the law may not under any circumstances influence the substance of the relevant guaranteed right.
Provisions on human and minority rights shall be interpreted to the benefit of promoting values of a democratic society, pursuant to valid international standards in human and minority rights, as well as the practice of international institutions which supervise their implementation. Уставом се јемче, и као таква, непосредно се примењују људска и мањинска права зајемчена општеприхваћеним правилима међународног права, потврђеним међународним уговорима и законима. Законом се може прописати начин остваривања ових права само ако је то Уставом изричито предвиђено или ако је то неопходно за остварење појединог права због његове природе, при чему закон ни у ком случају не сме да утиче на суштину зајемченог права.

- EnglishIf the Constitutional Court consulted by the President of the Republic, by the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly or the President of the Senate, by a tenth of the Deputies or a tenth of the Senators, declares that an international treaty or agreement includes a clause contrary to the Constitution, the ratification or approval may only intervene after the revision of the Constitution. (1) The existing law shall continue to be in force but shall be construed with such modifications, adaptations, qualifications and exceptions as may be necessary to bring it into conformity with sections 12 to 235 of this Constitution.
(2) For the purpose of this section “existing law” means a law that
(a) was enacted or made before 30th November, 1966 and has continued to be part of the law of Barbados at all times since that day;
(b) re-enacted a law that was enacted or made before 30th November, 1966 without alteration; or
(c) altered a law that was enacted or made before 30th November, 1966 and does not thereby render that law inconsistent with sections 12 to 23 of this Constitution in a manner in which, or to an extent to which, it was not previously so inconsistent.

b. Exceptionally to the provisions of the second clause of Article 38 of this Constitution, all laws, laws by Decrees, Decrees, statutes, orders, edicts and circulars that have been issued and are in force prior to the first meeting convened by the National Assembly remain proper and valid, unless amended or rescinded in accordance with the regulations prescribed in this Constitution. None of the provisions of the present Constitution may be interpreted in a way detrimental to the rights and interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the basic principles and norms stipulated in section one of this Constitution.
Laws and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be adopted on the basis of and in fulfillment of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. None of the laws or other normative legal acts may run counter to the norms and principles of the Constitution. (Art. 16) - Uzbek
Ushbu Konstitutsiyaning birorta qoidasi O‘zbekiston Respublikasining huquq va manfaatlariga, ushbu Konstitutsiyaning birinchi bo‘limida nazarda tutilgan asosiy prinsip va normalarga zarar yetkazadigan tarzda talqin etilishi mumkin emas.
O‘zbekiston Respublikasining qonunlari va boshqa normativ-huquqiy hujjatlari O‘zbekiston Respublikasining Konstitutsiyasi asosida va uni ijro etish yuzasidan qabul qilinadi.
