Status of the Constitution
- English1. If the Constitutional Court rules in favor of the unconstitutionality of a rule contained in an international treaty or agreement, the latter must not be ratified by the President of the Republic, who shall return it to the organ that had approved it.
2. An international treaty or agreement that contains a rule declared to be unconstitutional may be ratified by the President of the Republic if the National Assembly, in consulting the Government, confirms its approval by a majority of two thirds of the Deputies in full exercise of their functions.
3. If the Constitutional Court rules in favor of the unconstitutionality of a rule contained in any legislative act, the instrument must be vetoed by the President of the Republic and returned to the organ that had approved it.
4. In the case foreseen in paragraph 3, the legislative act may not be promulgated unless the organ that had approved it expurgates therefrom the rule judged unconstitutional or, where appropriate, confirms it by a two-thirds majority of Deputies in full exercise of their functions. There shall be no appeal against a decision of the Constitutional Court; this however does not apply if due to a decision by a body of an international organization set up to ensure the observance of international agreements binding for the Slovak Republic, the Slovak Republic has the obligation in proceedings before the Constitutional Court to reopen a final decision of the Constitutional Court. - English1. This Constitution derives its authority from the will of the people and shall be the supreme law of the land. It shall have a binding force on all persons, institutions, organs and agencies of government throughout the Country.
2. The authority of government at all levels shall derive from this Constitution and the law.
3. The states’ constitutions and all laws shall conform to this Constitution. (Art. 3)

- English1. The Constitution is the fundamental and supreme law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
All other legal documents must conform to the Constitution.
All violations of the Constitution shall be dealt with.
2. The National Assembly and its agencies, the President, the Government, People’s Courts, People’s Procuracies, other agencies of the State and all the People shall defend the Constitution.

- EnglishThe legitimate authorities of the native peoples shall have the power to apply within their territorial competence levels of administration of justice based on their ancestral traditions and affecting their members only, in accordance to their own rules and proceedings, provided the same are not contrary to this Constitution, law and public order.
