Status of the Constitution
- EnglishAll laws and other legal provisions contrary to this Constitution are repealed, except those pertaining to parental authority and support, the contrary parts of which shall continue in force for a period not exceeding twelve months from the date this Constitution enters into effect. (Art. 326)

Status of the Constitution
- English1. If the Constitutional Court rules that a provision of any statute or international agreement is unconstitutional by regular standard, it should be vetoed by the President of the Republic and returned to the body that had approved it.
2. In the case referred to in paragraph 1, the statute may not be promulgated unless the organ that approved it deletes the provision ruled unconstitutional or, as the case may be, it shall confirm by a majority of two thirds of the Deputies present, so long as it is higher than the absolute majority of the sitting Deputies in office.
3. If the law were to be reformulated, the President may request prior review of the constitutionality of any of its provisions.
4. If the Constitutional Court rules that a provision of unconstitutionality agreement or treaty, it may only be ratified if the National Assembly approves it by a majority of two thirds of the Deputies present, provided that that exceeds an absolute majority of the sitting Deputies. 3. Se o diploma vier a ser reformulado poderá o Presidente da República requerer a apreciação preventiva da inconstitucionalidade de qualquer das suas normas.

Se o Tribunal Constitucional se pronunciar pela inconstitucionalidade de norma constante de acordo ou tratado, este só poderá ser ratificado se a Assembleia Nacional vier a aprovar por maioria de dois terços dos Deputados presentes, desde que superior à maioria absoluta dos Deputados em efectividade de funções. - EnglishThe provisions of this Constitution shall prevail over the Constitutions of the member Emirates of the UAE and the federal laws which are issued in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution shall have priority over the legislations, regulations and decisions issued by the authorities of the Emirates.
In case of conflict, that part of the inferior legislation which is inconsistent with the superior legislation shall be rendered null and void to the extent that removes the inconsistency. In case of dispute, the matter shall be referred to the Federal Supreme Court for its ruling. - EnglishThis Constitution shall come into force on the day of publication of its official text in the Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado). It shall also be published in the other languages of Spain.
WHEREFORE, WE ORDER ALL SPANIARDS, WHETHER INDIVIDUALS OR AUTHORITIES, TO ABIDE BY THIS CONSTITUTION AND ENSURE THAT IT IS OBSERVED AS A FUNDAMENTAL LAW OF THE STATE. Status of the Constitution
- English1. If the Constitutional Court rules in favor of the unconstitutionality of a rule contained in an international treaty or agreement, the latter must not be ratified by the President of the Republic, who shall return it to the organ that had approved it.
2. An international treaty or agreement that contains a rule declared to be unconstitutional may be ratified by the President of the Republic if the National Assembly, in consulting the Government, confirms its approval by a majority of two thirds of the Deputies in full exercise of their functions.
3. If the Constitutional Court rules in favor of the unconstitutionality of a rule contained in any legislative act, the instrument must be vetoed by the President of the Republic and returned to the organ that had approved it.
4. In the case foreseen in paragraph 3, the legislative act may not be promulgated unless the organ that had approved it expurgates therefrom the rule judged unconstitutional or, where appropriate, confirms it by a two-thirds majority of Deputies in full exercise of their functions. A treaty of which the Constitutional Court establishes, that it is unconstitutional or lacks a basis in law shall not be applied any more by the authorities competent for its execution from the expiry of the day of the ruling‘s publication unless the Constitutional Court determines a deadline prior to which the treaty shall continue to be applied; such deadline must not exceed two years for the political, law-modifying and law-amending treaties and the treaties modifying the contractual bases of the European Union and one year in the case of all other treaties.

Ein Staatsvertrag, dessen Verfassungs- oder Gesetzwidrigkeit der Verfassungsgerichtshof feststellt, ist mit Ablauf des Tages der Kundmachung des Erkenntnisses von den zu seiner Vollziehung berufenen Organen nicht mehr anzuwenden, wenn nicht der Verfassungsgerichtshof eine Frist bestimmt, innerhalb der der Staatsvertrag weiterhin anzuwenden ist; diese Frist darf bei den politischen, gesetzändernden und gesetzesergänzenden Staatsverträgen und bei den Staatsverträgen, durch die die vertraglichen Grundlagen der Europäischen Union geändert werden, zwei Jahre, bei allen anderen Staatsverträgen ein Jahr nicht überschreiten.
