The decision of the Constitutional Tribunal declaring the unconstitutionality of a norm is published in the official gazette. On the day following the publication, said norm is without effect.
The decision of the Tribunal that declares a legal norm, in whole or in part, unconstitutional[,] does not have retroactive effect. (Art. 204) - Spanish
La sentencia del Tribunal que declara la inconstitucionalidad de una norma se publica en el diario oficial. Al día siguiente de la publicación, dicha norma queda sin efecto.

- EnglishAll civil, penal, financial, economic, administrative, cultural, military, political, and other laws and regulations must be based on Islamic criteria. This principle applies absolutely and generally to all articles of the Constitution as well as to all other laws and regulations, and the fuqaha' of the Guardian Council shall determine this matter. - English1. All provisions of statutes or of administrative acts of a regulatory nature which are contrary to the Constitution are abolished as of the date the Constitution comes into force.
2. Constituent acts promulgated between July 24, 1974 and the convocation of the Fifth Revisionary Parliament, as well as parliamentary resolutions thereof shall continue to be in force even if their provisions are contrary to the Constitution; they can be amended or abolished by statute.
