- English(1) Any law, or any custom or usage having the force of law, in so far as it is inconsistent with the rights conferred by this Chapter,13 shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, be void.
(2) The State shall not make any law which takes away or abridges the rights so conferred and any law made in contravention of this clause shall, to the extent of such contravention, be void.

In the case of referral [of a matter] to the Constitutional Council by way of action, a law or a provision declared contrary to the Constitution[,] it may not be promulgated or applied. The law or the provision contrary to the Constitution is null with respect to all.
In the case of referral [of a matter] to the Constitutional Council by way of pleadings [exception], the decision of the Constitutional Council is imposed on all, beyond the parties or the process. The law or the provision declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Council is abrogated.
