In the case of treaties and other international instruments for human rights, principles for the benefit of the human being, the non-restriction of rights, direct applicability, and the open clause as set forth in the Constitution shall be applied. The Political Constitution is the fundamental charter of the Republic; the other laws are subordinate to it. Any laws, treaties, decrees, orders or provisions that oppose it or alter its provisions[,] have no validity [valor]. (Art. 182)
