- EnglishThe Dominican Republic is a State member of the international community, open to cooperation and tied to the norms of international law, consequently:
1. It recognizes and applies the norms of international law, general and American, in the method in which its public powers have adopted them;
2. The norms in effect from international ratified agreements shall rule in the internal realm, once published in an official manner;
3. The international relations of the Dominican Republic are based and ruled by the affirmation and promotion of its national values and interests, respect for human rights and international law;
4. In equality of conditions with other States, the Dominican Republic accepts an international judicial system that guarantees respect of fundamental rights, peace, justice, and political, social, economic and cultural development of nations.

On condition that the norms in question are applied in the legal order of the other party, the organic or formal unconstitutionality of properly ratified international treaties does not prevent the application of the norms they contain in the Portuguese legal order, save if that unconstitutionality results from the breach of a fundamental provision of the Constitution. The enforcement of this Constitution shall not affect the provisions of the treaties and international agreements to which the State of Qatar is a party. (Art. 143)

1. To be the supreme body for interpreting the Constitution and international human rights treaties ratified by the Ecuadorian State by its rulings and judgments. Its decisions shall be binding.

The Constitution shall guarantee, and as such, directly implement human and minority rights guaranteed by the generally accepted rules of international law, ratified international treaties and laws. The law may prescribe manner of exercising these rights only if explicitly stipulated in the Constitution or necessary to exercise a specific right owing to its nature, whereby the law may not under any circumstances influence the substance of the relevant guaranteed right.
Provisions on human and minority rights shall be interpreted to the benefit of promoting values of a democratic society, pursuant to valid international standards in human and minority rights, as well as the practice of international institutions which supervise their implementation. Уставом се јемче, и као таква, непосредно се примењују људска и мањинска права зајемчена општеприхваћеним правилима међународног права, потврђеним међународним уговорима и законима. Законом се може прописати начин остваривања ових права само ако је то Уставом изричито предвиђено или ако је то неопходно за остварење појединог права због његове природе, при чему закон ни у ком случају не сме да утиче на суштину зајемченог права.

- EnglishThe international engagements specified in Article 150 are deferred before ratification to the Constitutional Court, either by the President of the Republic, or by the President of the National Assembly or by one Deputy.
The Court verifies, in a time period of thirty days, if these engagements have [comportent] clauses contrary to the Constitution.
In the affirmative, the Constitution is modified before the ratification of those [desdits] engagements.
… (Art. 97) - FrenchLes engagements internationaux prévus à l'article 150 sont déférés avant ratification à la Cour constitutionnelle, soit par le président de la République, soit par le président de l'Assemblée nationale ou par un député.
La Cour vérifie, dans un délai de trente jours, si ces engagements comportent des clauses contraires à la Constitution.
Dans l'affirmative, la Constitution est modifiée avant la ratification des dits engagements.
