Paragraph 2. The rights and guarantees expressed in this Constitution do not exclude others deriving from the regime and from the principles adopted by it, or from the international treaties in which the Federative Republic of Brazil is a party.
Paragraph 3. International human rights treaties and conventions which are approved in each House of the National Congress, in two rounds of voting, by three fifths of the votes of the respective members shall be equivalent to constitutional amendments.

If the Constitutional Council, referred [to the matter] by the President of the Republic, the President of the National Assembly or of the Senate or by one-tenth at least of the Deputies or of the Senators, has declared that an international treaty or agreement includes a clause contrary to the Constitution, the authorization to ratify it can take place only after revision of the Constitution. - EnglishThe international treaties celebrated by El Salvador with other States or with international organs, constitute laws of the Republic once they enter into force, in accordance with the provisions of the same treaty and of this Constitution.
The law cannot modify or derogate that agreed to in a treaty in force for El Salvador. In case of conflict between the treaty and the law, the treaty will prevail.
