1. It recognizes and applies the norms of international law, general and American, in the method in which its public powers have adopted them;

3. The international relations of the Dominican Republic are based and ruled by the affirmation and promotion of its national values and interests, respect for human rights and international law;
4. In equality of conditions with other States, the Dominican Republic accepts an international judicial system that guarantees respect of fundamental rights, peace, justice, and political, social, economic and cultural development of nations.

- English1. The legal system of East Timor shall adopt the general or customary principles of international law.
2. Rules provided for in international conventions, treaties and agreements shall apply in the internal legal system of East Timor following their approval, ratification or accession by the respective competent organs and after publication in the official gazette.

(2) The Slovak Republic may, by an international agreement ratified and published in a manner specified by constitutional law, or on the basis of such an agreement, delegate the implementation of a part of its rights to the European Community and the European Union. Legally binding acts of the European Community and the European Union have priority over the laws of the Slovak Republic. (2) Slovenská republika môţe medzinárodnou zmluvou, ktorá bola ratifikovaná a vyhlásená spôsobom ustanoveným zákonom, alebo na základe takej zmluvy preniesť výkon časti svojich práv na Európske spoločenstvá a Európsku úniu. (5) Medzinárodné zmluvy o ľudských právach a základných slobodách, medzinárodné zmluvy, na ktorých vykonanie nie je potrebný zákon, a medzinárodné zmluvy, ktoré priamo zakladajú práva alebo povinnosti fyzických osôb alebo právnických osôb a ktoré boli ratifikované a vyhlásené spôsobom ustanoveným zákonom, majú prednosť pred zákonmi. - EnglishIf the Constitutional Court referred to [the matter] by the President of the Republic or by a Deputy, has declared that an international engagement contains a clause contrary to the Constitution, the authorization to ratify it or to approve it may only intervene after the revision of the Constitution.
A law authorizing the ratification or the approval of an international engagement may not be promulgated and enter into force when it has been declared nonconforming to the Constitution. (Art. 150) - FrenchSi la Cour constitutionnelle, saisie par le président de la République ou un député a déclaré qu'un engagement international comporte une clause contraire à la loi fondamentale, l'autorisation de la ratifier ou de l'approuver ne peut intervenir qu'après la révision de la Constitution.
Une loi autorisant la ratification ou l'approbation d'un engagement international ne peut être promulguée et entrer en vigueur lorsqu'elle a été déclarée non conforme à la Constitution. (Art. 150)
