- English(1) The remedy of judicial review is and shall not be available in Brunei Darussalam.
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, there is and shall be no judicial review in any court of any act, decision, grant, revocation or suspension, or refusal or omission to do so, any exercise of or refusal or omission to exercise any power, authority or discretion by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, or any party acting on his behalf or under his authority or in the performance of any public function, under the provisions of this Constitution or any written law or otherwise, including any question relating to compliance with any procedural requirement governing such act or decision.
(3) In this Article, “judicial review” means proceedings instituted by any manner whatsoever including, but not limited to, proceedings by way of —

(d) any other suit or action relating to or arising out of any act, decision, grant, revocation or suspension, or refusal or omission to do so, any exercise of or refusal or omission to exercise any power, authority or discretion conferred on His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, or any party acting on his behalf or under his authority or in the performance of any public function, under the provisions of this Constitution or any written law or otherwise.
(4) Save as provided in this Constitution, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan shall not be required to assign any reason for any act, decision, grant, revocation or suspension, or refusal or omission to do so, any exercise of or refusal or omission to exercise any power, authority or discretion under the provisions of this Constitution or any written law or otherwise. - English(1) The Constitutional Court has jurisdiction over the whole Spanish territory and is entitled to hear:
a) Appeals against the alleged unconstitutionality of acts and statutes having the force of an act. ...
b) Individual appeals for protection (recursos de amparo) against violation of the rights and liberties contained in section 53(2) of the Constitution, in the circumstances and manner to be laid down by law.
c) Conflicts of jurisdiction between the State and the Autonomous Communities or between the Autonomous Communities themselves.
d) Other matters assigned to it by the Constitution or by organic acts.
(2) The Government may appeal to the Constitutional Court against provisions and resolutions adopted by the bodies of the Autonomous Communities, which shall bring about the suspension of the contested provisions or resolutions, but the Court must either ratify or lift the suspension, as the case may be, within a period of not more than five months. The Constitutional Court is exclusively competent in the matter of control of constitutionality:
1- of the laws, at the request of the President of the Republic, of thirty members of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People or of half of the members of the National Council of Regions and Districts. The Court is referred to [the matter] within a time period of seven days counting from the date of the adoption of the bill of law or of the date of the adoption of the amended bill of law after remittal by the President of the Republic,
2- of the treaties that the President of the Republic submits to it before the promulgation of the law including the adoption of those treaties,
3- of the laws that the tribunals remit to it, following an exception of unconstitutionality raised in the cases and according to the procedures specified by the law,
4- of the internal regulations of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People and of the National Council of Regions and Districts which are submitted to it by the President of each of the two assemblies,
5- of the procedure of the revision of the Constitution,

تختصّ المحكمة الدّستوريّة بالنّظر في مراقبة دستوريّة:
1. القوانين، بناء على طلب من رئيس الجمهوريّة أو ثلاثين عضوا من أعضاء مجلس نوّاب الشّعب أو نصف أعضاء المجلس الوطنيّ للجهات والأقاليم، يُرفع إليها في أجل أقصاه سبعة أيّام من تاريخ المصادقة على مشروع القانون أو من تاريخ المصادقة على مشروع قانون في صيغة معدّلة بعد أن تمّ ردّه من قبل رئيس الجمهوريّة.
2. المعاهدات التي يعرضها رئيس الجمهوريّة قبل ختم قانون الموافقة عليها.

La Cour constitutionnelle est exclusivement compétente en matière de contrôle de constitutionnalité :
1. des lois, sur demande du Président de la République, de trente membres de l’Assemblée des représentants du peuple ou de la moitié des membres du Conseil national des régions et des districts.
