- EnglishThe suffrage can be direct or indirect, in the conditions specified by the law. It is always universal, equal, and secret.
All the citizens of the Republic, of majority of both sexes, enjoying their civil and political rights, are electors.
The law favors the equal access of women and of men to the electoral mandates and elective functions. (Art. 3) - Arabicيكون الاقتراع مباشرا أو غير مباشر حسب الشّروط المنصوص عليها في القانون، و هو عام على الدّوام متساو و سريّ.
يعتبر ناخبا كل من بلغ سنّ الرّشد من مواطني الجمهورية، ذكرا أو أنثى و يتمتّع بحقوقه المدنيّة و السّياسية.

Every Swedish citizen who is currently domiciled in Sweden or who has ever been domiciled in Sweden, and who has reached the age of eighteen, is entitled to vote in an election to the Riksdag.
