(a) Every Commonwealth citizen of the prescribed age who possesses such qualifications relating to residence or domicile in Saint Lucia as Parliament may prescribe shall, unless he or she is disqualified by Parliament from registration as a voter for the purpose of electing members of the House, be entitled to be registered as such a voter in accordance with the provisions of any law in that behalf, and no other person may be so registered.
(b) Every person who is registered as aforesaid in any constituency shall, unless he or she is disqualified by Parliament from voting in that constituency in any election of members of the House, be entitled so to vote, in accordance with the provisions of any law in that behalf, and no other person may so vote.
(c) For the purposes of this subsection the prescribed age shall be the age of 21 years or such lower age, not being less than 18 years, as Parliament may prescribe.

- English(1) Every Zimbabwean citizen has the right—
(a) to free, fair and regular elections for any elective public office established in terms of this Constitution or any other law; and
(b) to make political choices freely.
(2) Subject to this Constitution, every Zimbabwean citizen has the right—
(a) to form, to join and to participate in the activities of a political party or organisation of their choice;
(b) to campaign freely and peacefully for a political party or cause;
(c) to participate in peaceful political activity; and
(d) to participate, individually or collectively, in gatherings or groups or in any other manner, in peaceful activities to influence, challenge or support the policies of the Government or any political or whatever cause.
(3) Subject to this Constitution, every Zimbabwean citizen who is of or over eighteen years of age has the right—
(a) to vote in all elections and referendums to which this Constitution or any other law applies, and to do so in secret; and
(b) to stand for election for public office and, if elected, to hold such office.
(4) For the purpose of promoting multi-party democracy, an Act of Parliament must provide for the funding of political parties. (Sec. 67)

- EnglishSubject to the provisions of article 58 of this Constitution, a person shall be qualified to be registered as a voter for the election of members of the House of Representatives if, and shall not be qualified to be so registered unless –
(a) he is a citizen of Malta;
(b) he has attained the age of sixteen years; and
(c) he is resident in Malta and has during the eighteen months immediately preceding his registration been a resident for a continuous period of six months or for periods amounting in the aggregate to six months:
Provided that this paragraph shall not apply to a person who is ordinarily resident in Malta but has not been resident in Malta as required by this paragraph by reason of service abroad in the public service, including service in the offices referred to in sub-article (3) of article 124 of this Constitution, or by reason of service abroad in, or as a member of, a disciplined force as defined in article 47 of this Constitution. The participation of the people in forming, carrying out and controlling the management of public affairs is the necessary way of achieving the involvement to ensure their complete development, both individual and collective. It is the obligation of the State and the duty of society to facilitate the generation of optimum conditions for putting this into practice. - English1. Every Ethiopian national, without any discrimination based on colour, race, nation, nationality, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion or other status, has the following rights:
a. To take part in the conduct of public affairs, directly and through freely chosen representatives;
b. On the attainment of 18 years of age, to vote in accordance with law;
c. To vote and to be elected at periodic elections to any office at any level of government; elections shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret ballot, guaranteeing the free expression of the will of the electors.
2. The right of everyone to be a member of his own will in a political organization, labour union, trade organization, or employers' or professional association shall be respected if he or she meets the special and general requirements stipulated by such organization.
3. Elections to positions of responsibility within any of the organizations referred to under sub-Article 2 of this Article shall be conducted in a free and democratic manner.

2. በፖለቲካ ድርጅቶች፣ በሠራተኞች፣ በንግድ፣ በአሠሪዎችና በሙያ ማኅበራት ለተሳትፎ ድርጅቱ የሚጠይቀውን ጠቅላላና ልዩ የአባልነት መስፈርት የሚያሟላ ማንኛውም ሰው በፍላጐቱ አባል የመሆን መብቱ የተከበረ መሆን አለበት፡፡
3. በዚህ አንቀጽ ንዑስ አንቀጽ 2 በተመለከቱት ድርጅቶች ውስጥ ለኃላፊነት ቦታዎች የሚካሄዱ ምርጫዎች ነጻና ዴሞክራሲያዊ በሆነ መንገድ ይፈጸማሉ፡፡
4. የዚህ አንቀጽ ንዑስ አንቀጽ 2 እና 3 ድንጋጌዎች የሕዝብን ጥቅም ሰፋ ባለ ሁኔታ የሚነኩ እስከሆነ ድረስ በሕዝባዊ ድርጅቶች ላይ ተፈጻሚ ይሆናሉ፡፡ (አንቀጽ 38)

- EnglishA citizen shall have the right to take part in political life and state administration directly or via his representatives.
Citizens shall have the equal rights to state service.
A citizen shall have the right to take part in referendum, to elect from the age of 18 years and also be elected from the age fixed by Constitution, Constitutional laws and laws.
Persons deemed incompetent by a court or who have been deprived of liberty in accordance with a court sentence shall not have the right to take part in the elections and referendums.
Constitutional laws and laws shall regulate the procedure of elections. Referendum shall be held in accordance with Constitutional Law. (Art. 27) - RussianГражданин имеет право участвовать в политической жизни и управлении государственном непосредственно или через представителей.
Граждане имеют равное право на государственную службу.
Гражданин по достижении 18‐летнего возраста вправе участвовать в референдуме, избирать, а также быть избранным по достижении возраста, установленного Конституцией, конституционными законами и законами.
Лица, признанные судом недееспособными, либо содержащиеся в местах лищения свободы по приговору суда, не имеют права участвовать в выборах и референдумах.
Порядок проведения выборов регулируется конституционными законами и законами. Референдум проводится согласно конституционного закона. (Статья 27) - TajikШаҳрванд ҳақ дорад дар ҳаёти сиёсӣ ва идораи давлатӣ бевосита ва ё ба воситаи вакилонаш иштирок намояд.

Шаірвандоне, ки аз тарафи суд љайри ѕобили амал дониста шудаанд ва ё мувофиѕи іукми суд дар їойіои аз озодњ маірумшудагон нигоі дошта мешаванд, іуѕуѕи дар интихобот ва раъйпурсњ иштирок кардан надоранд.
