- English(1) Any list of candidates for an election held pursuant to the provisions of article 60 (2) shall designate not more than one of those candidates as a Presidential candidate. An elector voting at such an election in favour of a list shall be deemed to be also voting in favour of the Presidential candidate named in the list.
(2) Where -
(a) there is only one Presidential candidate at the election; or
(b) there are two or more Presidential candidates, if more votes are cast in favour of the list in which a person is designated as Presidential candidate than in favour of any other list,
that Presidential candidate shall be deemed to be elected as President and shall be so declared by the Chairman of the Elections Commission acting only in accordance with the advice of the Chief Election Officer, after such advice has been tendered to the Elections Commission at a duly summoned meeting.

The President of the Republic is the head of the State and personifies the Nation.
To be elected President of the Republic it is required to be Peruvian by birth, to be thirty-five years of age at the moment of postulation and to enjoy the right of suffrage. (Art. 110) - Spanish
El Presidente de la República es el Jefe del Estado y personifica a la Nación.
Para ser elegido Presidente de la República se requiere ser peruano por nacimiento, tener más de treinta y cinco años de edad al momento de la postulación y gozar del derecho de sufragio. (Art. 110)

- English(1) A person is qualified to be nominated for election as President if, and is not so qualified unless, he is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago of the age of thirty-five years or upwards who at the date of his nomination has been ordinarily resident in Trinidad and Tobago for ten years immediately preceding his nomination.
