- English(1) Any reference in this Constitution to the functions of the Governor-General shall be construed as a reference to his or her powers and duties in the exercise of the executive authority of Saint Christopher and Nevis and to any other powers and duties conferred or imposed on him or her as Governor-General by or under this Constitution or any other law.
(2) Where by this Constitution the Governor-General is required to perform any function in his or her own deliberate judgment or in accordance with the advice or recommendation of, or after consultation with, any person or authority, the question whether the Governor-General has so exercised that function shall not be enquired into in any court of law.
(3) Where by this Constitution the Governor-General is required to perform any function after consultation with any person or authority he or she shall not be obliged to exercise that function in accordance with the recommendation of that person or authority. (Sec. 116)

(a) having been requested by the people of Papua New Guinea, through their Constituent Assembly, to become the Queen and Head of State of Papua New Guinea; and
(b) having graciously consented so to become, is the Queen and Head of State of Papua New Guinea.
(2) Subject to and in accordance with this Constitution, the privileges, powers, functions, duties and responsibilities of the Head of State may be had, exercised and performed through a Governor-General appointed in accordance with Division 3 (appointment, etc., of Governor-General) and, except where the contrary intention appears, reference in any law to the Head of State shall be read accordingly. La candidature au poste de Président de la République est un droit reconnu à tout tunisien ou tunisienne, qui n'est pas titulaire d'une autre nationalité, né(e) de père et de mère, de grands-pères paternel et maternel tunisiens, demeurés tous de nationalité tunisienne sans discontinuité.
Le candidat ou la candidate doit être, au jour du dépôt de sa candidature, âgé (e) de quarante ans au moins et jouir de ses droits civils et politiques.
