The following qualifications [calidades] are required to be the President or Vice President of the Republic:
1) To be a national of Nicaragua. Those who have acquired other nationality must have renounced it at least four years prior to the election being verified.
2) To be in full enjoyment of one's civil and political rights.
3) To have completed twenty-five years of age.
4) To have resided in continuous form in the country [for] the four years preceding the election, save [when] during this time [periodo] fulfilling a diplomatic mission, working in international organs [organismos] or realizing study abroad.

Para ser Presidente o Vicepresidente de la República se requiere de las siguientes calidades:
1) Ser nacional de Nicaragua. Quien hubiese adquirido otra nacionalidad deberá haber renunciado a ella al menos cuatro años antes de verificarse la elección.
2) Estar en pleno goce de sus derechos civiles y políticos.
3) Haber cumplido veinticinco años de edad.
4) Haber residido de forma continua en el país los cuatro años anteriores a la elección, salvo que durante dicho período cumpliere misión diplomática, trabajare en organismos internacionales o realizare estudios en el extranjero.

- English(1) The President of Romania shall represent the Romanian State and is the safeguard of the national independence, unity and territorial integrity of the country.
(2) The President of Romania shall guard the observance of the Constitution and the proper functioning of the public authorities. To this effect, he shall act as a mediator between the Powers in the State, as well as between the State and society. - English(1) A person shall be qualified for election as President if—
(a) he or she is a citizen of The Gambia by birth or descent;
(b) he or she has attained the minimum age of thirty years;
(c) he or she has been ordinarily resident in The Gambia for at least the five years immediately preceding the election;
(d) he or she has completed senior secondary school education; and
(e) he or she is qualified to be elected as a member of the National Assembly.
(2) A person who holds the citizenship or nationality of a country other than The Gambia, shall not be qualified for election as President.

- EnglishOnly a voting citizen who is Cabo Verdean by origin may be elected President of the Republic, and one who does not possess any other nationality, is more than thirty-five years old on the date of application and who, in the three years immediately preceding that date, has had permanent residence within the national territory.
