- EnglishThe Chamber of Councilors is composed of a minimum of 90 members and of a maximum of 120, elected by indirect universal suffrage for six years, according to the following division:
• three-fifths of the members represent the local collectivities. This component [effectif] is divided between the regions of the Kingdom, in proportion to their respective populations and in observance of equity between the regions. The one-third reserved to the region is elected at the level of each region by the Regional Council [Conseil regional] from among its members. The two-thirds remaining are elected by an electoral college at the level of the region by the members of the communal, prefectural and provincial councils;
• two-fifths of the members elected in each region by the electoral colleges composed of those elected to the Professional Chambers [Chambers professionnelles] and of the most representative professional organizations of employers, and of the elected members to the national echelon by an electoral college composed of the representatives of the salaried [workers].
The number of the members of the Chamber of Councilors and their electoral regime, the number of them to be elected by each of the electoral colleges, the division of seats per region, the conditions of eligibility and the case of incompatibilities, the rules of limitation of accumulation of mandates and the organization of electoral disputes, are established by an organic law.

- English1. Parliament shall consist of-
a. members directly elected to represent constituencies;
b. one woman representative for every district;
c. such numbers of representatives of the army, youth, workers, persons with disabilities and other groups as Parliament may determine; and
d. the Vice President and Ministers, who, if not already elected members of Parliament, shall be ex officio members of Parliament without the right to vote on any issue requiring a vote in Parliament.
2. Upon the expiration of a period of ten years after the commencement of this Constitution and thereafter, every five years,
Parliament shall review the representation under clause (1)(b) and (c) of this article for the purposes of retaining, increasing or abolishing any such representation and any other matter incidental to it.
3. The representatives referred to in clause (l)(a) of this article shall be elected on the basis of universal adult suffrage and by secret ballot.
4. Parliament shall, by law, prescribe the procedure for elections of representatives referred to in clause (1)(b) and (c) of this article. (Art. 78)

- English(1) A person shall not be qualified to be elected or chosen as a member of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) unless-
(a) he is a citizen of Pakistan;
(b) he is, in the case of the National Assembly, not less than twenty-five years of age and is enrolled as a voter in any electoral roll in-
(i) any part of Pakistan, for election to a general seat or a seat reserved for a non-Muslims; and
(ii) any area in a Province from which she seeks membership for election to a seat reserved for women.
(c) he is, in the case of the Senate, not less than thirty years of age and is enrolled as a voter in any area in a Province or, as the case may be, the Federal Capital from where he seeks membership;
(d) he is of good character and is not commonly known as one who violates Islamic Injunctions;
(e) he has adequate knowledge of Islamic teachings and practices obligatory duties prescribed by Islam as well as abstains from major sins;
(f) he is sagacious, righteous, non-profligate, honest and ameen, there being no declaration to the contrary by a court of law; and
(g) he has not, after the establishment of Pakistan, worked against the integrity of the country or opposed the ideology of Pakistan.
(2) The disqualifications specified in paragraphs (d) and (e) shall not apply to a person who is a non-Muslim, but such a person shall have good moral reputation. (Art. 62) - Urdu(١) کوئی شخص مجلس شوریٰ (پارلیمینٹ) کا رکن منتخب ہونے یا چنے جانے کا اہل نہیں ہو گا اگر۔۔
(الف) وہ پاکستان کا شہری نہ ہو؛
(ب) وہ قومی اسمبلی کی صورت میں ,پچیس سال سے کم عمر کا ہواور کسی انتخابی فہرست میں ووٹر کی حیثییت سے، (اول) پاکستان کے کسی حصہ میں، عام نشست یا غیر مسلموں کے لئے مخصوص کسی نشست پر انتخاب کے لئےدرج نہ ہو؛ اور
(دوم) کسی صوبہ کے ایسے علاقے میں جہاں سے وہ خواتین کے لئے مخصوص نشست پر انتخاب کے لئے رکنیت چاہتی ہو، درج نہ ہو۔
(ج) وہ سینٹ کی صورت میں تیس سال سے کم عمر کا ہو اور کسی صوبے میں کسی علاقے میں یا، جیسی بھی صورت ہو وفاقی درالحکومت میں جہاں سے وہ رکنیت چاہتا ہو بطور ووٹر درج نہ ہو؛
(د) وہ اچھے کردار کا حامل نہ ہو اورعام طور پراحکام اسلام سے انحراف میں مشہور ہو؛
(ہ) وہ اسلامی تعلیمات کا خاطرخواہ علم نہ رکھتا ہو اور اسلام کے مقررکردہ فرائض کا پابند نیز کبیرہ گناہوں سے مجتنب نہ ہو؛
(و) وہ سمجھدار، پارسا نہ ہو اور فاسق ہو اور ایماندار اور امین نہ ہو , عدالت نےاس کےبرعکس قرار نہ دیا ہو؛ اور
(ز) اس نے قیام پاکستان کے بعد ملک کی سالمیت کے خلاف کام کیا ہو یا نظریہ پا کستان کی مخالفت کی ہو۔
(۲) پیراجات (د)اور(ہ) میں صراحت کردہ نااہلیوں کا کسی ایسے شخص پر اطلاق نہیں ہو گا جو غیرمسلم ہو، لیکن ایسا شخص اچھی اخلا قی شہرت کا حامل ہو گا۔ ( آرٹیکل۶۲ )

Nigeriens of the two (2) sexes, at least twenty-one (21) years old and enjoying their civil and political rights[,] are eligible to the National Assembly.
The lists of the political parties, of the groups of parties as well as those of the independent candidates must obligatorily include [compter], at least, 75% of [their] candidates holding, at least, the Brevet d'Etudes du Premier Cycle (BEPC), [Certificate of Studies of the First Cycle] or its equivalent and 25%, at most, of [their candidates] not fulfilling this condition.
Within this quota, the special circumscriptions are integrated within the regions to which they belong.
An organic law establishes the number of members of the National Assembly, the indemnity of the Deputies and the benefits [avantages], their conditions of eligibility, the regime of ineligibilities and of incompatibilities, the modality of the ballot as well as the conditions under which the vacancy of [a] seat of [a] Deputy is provided for.
