- English1. The President of the Russian Federation shall be elected for six years by citizens of the Russian Federation on the basis of universal, equal, direct suffrage by secret ballot.
2. Any citizen of the Russian Federation not younger than 35 years of age who has resided in the Russian Federation on a permanent basis for not less than 25 years, who does not have and never had foreign citizenship, residence permit or another document certifying the right of the citizen of the Russian Federation to have residence in the territory of a foreign state may be elected President of the Russian Federation. The requirement for the candidate for election as the President of the Russian Federation to have no and have had no citizenship of a foreign state shall not apply to citizens of the Russian Federation who previously had had a citizenship of a foreign state that was fully or partially accepted into the Russian Federation in accordance with the federal constitutional law and have had permanently lived in the foreign state accepted into the Russian Federation or in the territory of the part of foreign state accepted into the Russian Federation. The President of the Russian Federation in order established by the federal law shall be forbidden from opening and having bank accounts (deposits), keeping cash assets and valuables in foreign banks situated outside the territory of the Russian Federation.

2. Президентом Российской Федерации может быть избран гражданин Российской Федерации не моложе 35 лет, постоянно проживающий в Российской Федерации не менее 25 лет, не имеющий и не имевший ранее гражданства иностранного государства либо вида на жительство или иного документа, подтверждающего право на постоянное проживание гражданина Российской Федерации на территории иностранного государства. Требование к кандидату на должность Президента Российской Федерации об отсутствии у него гражданства иностранного государства не распространяется на граждан Российской Федерации, ранее имевших гражданство государства, которое было принято или часть которого была принята в Российскую Федерацию в соответствии с федеральным конституционным законом, и постоянно проживавших на территории принятого в Российскую Федерацию государства или территории принятой в Российскую Федерацию части государства. (1) The Federal President shall be elected by the federal people on the basis of equal, direct, personal, free and secret suffrage by men and women having suffrage to the National Council. If only one candidate stands for election, it shall be carried out in form of a voting. Art. 26 para 5 to 7 shall apply accordingly.
(2) The candidate who polls more than half of all valid votes has been elected. If no such majority results, a second ballot takes place. Votes in this can validly be cast only for one of the two candidates who have polled the most votes in the first ballot.
(3) Only a person who is eligible for election to the National Council and has completed the thirty-fifth year of life on the day of the election can be elected Federal President.

(1) Der Bundespräsident wird vom Bundesvolk auf Grund des gleichen, unmittelbaren, persönlichen, freien und geheimen Wahlrechtes der zum Nationalrat wahlberechtigten Männer und Frauen gewählt; stellt sich nur ein Wahlwerber der Wahl, so ist die Wahl in Form einer Abstimmung durchzuführen. Art. 26 Abs. 5 bis 8 ist sinngemäß anzuwenden.
(2) Gewählt ist, wer mehr als die Hälfte aller gültigen Stimmen für sich hat. Ergibt sich keine solche Mehrheit, so findet ein zweiter Wahlgang statt. Bei diesem können gültigerweise nur für einen der beiden Wahlwerber, die im ersten Wahlgang die meisten Stimmen erhalten haben, Stimmen abgegeben werden.
(3) Zum Bundespräsidenten kann nur gewählt werden, wer zum Nationalrat wählbar ist und am Wahltag das 35. Lebensjahr vollendet hat.

The President of the Republic shall be elected by Parliament in joint session of its members.
Three delegates from each Region, as shall have been elected by their respective Regional Councils so as to ensure the representation of the opposition, shall participate in the election. Valle d’Aosta shall have one delegate.
The President of the Republic shall be elected by secret ballot by a majority of two thirds of the assembly. After the third ballot an absolute majority shall suffice. (Art. 83) - Italian

All’elezione partecipano tre delegati per ogni Regione eletti dal Consiglio regionale in modo che sia assicurata la rappresentanza delle minoranze. La Valle d’Aosta ha un solo delegato.
L’elezione del Presidente della Repubblica ha luogo per scrutinio segreto a maggioranza di due terzi dell’assemblea. Dopo il terzo scrutinio è sufficiente la maggioranza assoluta. (Art. 83)

- English(1) A person is qualified to be nominated for election as President if, and is not so qualified unless, he is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago of the age of thirty-five years or upwards who at the date of his nomination has been ordinarily resident in Trinidad and Tobago for ten years immediately preceding his nomination.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1) a person shall be deemed to reside in Trinidad and Tobago if he holds an office in the service of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and lives outside Trinidad and Tobago because he is required to do so for the proper discharge of his functions.
