(1) The Governor-General shall be appointed, and may be removed from office at any time, by the Sovereign, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister given after the Prime Minister has, in confidence, consulted the members of Parliament.
(2) A person is not qualified to be appointed Governor-General unless-
(a) he has attained the age of 50 years; and
(b) he is otherwise qualified to be elected as a member of Parliament.

- English(1) A person shall not be entitled to be elected to hold the office of President of the United Republic save only if -
(a) he is a citizen of the United Republic by birth in accordance with the citizenship law;
(b) he has attained the age of forty years;
(c) he is a member of, and a candidate nominated by, a political party;
(d) he is qualified to be a Member of Parliament or a Member of the House of Representatives; and
(e) within the period of five years before the General Elections, he has not been convicted by any court for any offence relating to evasion to pay any tax due to the Government.
(2) Without prejudice to any person’s right and freedom of expression to hold his own views, to profess a religious faith of his choice, to associate with others and to participate with others in community work in accordance with the laws of the land, no person shall be qualified to be elected to hold the office of President of the United Republic unless he is a member of, and a candidate proposed by, a political party. - English(1) As the Head of State, the President shall uphold, protect and defend the Constitution as the Supreme Law, and shall perform with dignity and leadership all acts necessary, expedient, reasonable and incidental to the discharge of the executive functions of the Government, subject to the overriding terms of this Constitution and the laws of Namibia, which he or she is constitutionally obliged to protect to administer and to execute.

- English(1) There shall be a Supreme Head of the Federation, to be called the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who shall take precedence over all persons in the Federation and shall not be liable to any proceedings whatsoever in any court except in the Special Court established under Part XV.7
(2) The Consort of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (to be called the Raja Permaisuri Agong) shall take precedence next after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong over all other persons in the Federation.
(3) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall be elected by the Conference of Rulers for a term of five years, but may at any time resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Conference of Rulers or be removed from office by the Conference of Rulers, and shall cease to hold office on ceasing to be a Ruler.
… (Art. 32) - Malay(1) Maka hendaklah ada seorang Ketua Utama Negara bagi Persekutuan, digelar Yang di-Pertuan Agong, yang hendaklah diberi keutamaan daripada segala orang di dalam Persekutuan dan yang tidak boleh dikenakan apa-apa jua pun prosiding di dalam mana-mana mahkamah kecuali di dalam Mahkamah Khas yang ditubuhkan di bawah Bahagian XV.
(2) Isteri Yang di-Pertuan Agong (digelar Raja Permaisuri Agong) hendaklah diberi keutamaan daripada segala orang lain di dalam Persekutuan selepas Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
(3) Yang di-Pertuan Agong hendaklah dipilih oleh Majlis RajaRaja bagi tempoh lima tahun, tetapi boleh pada bila-bila masa meletakkan jawatannya melalui surat yang ditandatangani sendiri olehnya yang ditujukan kepada Majlis Raja-Raja atau boleh dipecat daripada jawatannya oleh Majlis Raja-Raja, dan hendaklah berhenti memegang jawatan apabila terhenti menjadi Raja.

- English(1) Any candidate for President or Vice-President shall be a citizen of Indonesia since birth, shall never have acquired another citizenship by his/her own will, shall never have committed an act of treason against the State, and shall be mentally and physically capable of implementing the duties and obligations of President or Vice-President.
(2) The requirements to become President or Vice-President shall be further regulated by law. (Art. 6) - Indonesian(1) Calon Presiden dan calon Wakil Presiden harus seorang warga negara Indonesia sejak kelahirannya dan tidak pernah menerima kewarganegaraan lain karena kehendaknya sendiri, tidak pernah mengkhianati negara, serta mampu secara rohani dan jasmani untuk melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban sebagai Presiden dan Wakil Presiden.
(2) Syarat-syarat untuk menjadi Presiden dan Wakil Presiden diatur lebih lanjut dengan undang-undang. (Pasal 6)

Every person who is qualified to be an elector shall be qualified to be elected to the office of President unless he is subject to any of the following disqualifications–
(a) if he has not attained the age of thirty years;
(b) if he is not qualified to be elected as a Member of Parliament under sub-paragraph (d), (e), (f) or (g) of paragraph (1) of Article 91; and
(c) if he has been twice elected to the office of President by the People.

ඡන්ද හිමියකු වීමට සුදුසුකම්ලත් සෑම තැනැත්තෙක් ම, ඒ තැනැත්තා -
(අ) වයස අවුරුදු තිස් (30) සම්පූර්ණ කර නොසිටීම;
(ආ) 91 වැනි ව්යවස්ථාවේ (1) වැනි අනුව්යවස්ථාවේ (ඈ), (ඉ), (ඊ) හෝ (උ) ඡේද යටතේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරයකු ලෙස තෝරා පත් කර ගැනීමට නුසුදුස්සකු වීම;
(ඇ) ඔහු, ජනතාව විසින් ජනාධිපති ධුරයට දෙවරක් තෝරා පත් කොට ගනු ලැබ තිබීම;
(ඈ) 38 වැනි ව්යවස්ථාවේ (2) වැනි අනුව්යවස්ථාවේ (ඉ) ඡේදයේ විධිවිධාන යටතේ ජනාධිපති ධුරයෙන් ඉවත් කරනු ලැබ සිටීම, යන නුසුදුසුකම්වලින් කවර වූ හෝ නුසුදුසුකමකට යටත්ව සිටී නම් මිස, ජනාධිපතිවරයා වශයෙන් තෝරා පත් කර ගනු ලැබීමට සුදුස්සෙක් වන්නේ ය. (92 වැනි වගන්තිය)
