3. A candidate for an elective office under this Constitution shall:
a. Be a Bhutanese citizen;
b. Be registered voter of that constituency;
c. Be a minimum of twenty-five years and maximum of sixty-five years of age at the time of filing the nomination;

The representatives on the National Assembly of People's Power and the delegates on the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power are elected through a vote of the electors that is free, equal, direct, and secret.
